According to the National Seismological Network, at 05:16 on February 2, 2012, Beijing time, a magnitude 4.3 earthquake occurred at the junction of Gaizhou City, Dashiqiao City, and the municipal district of Yingkou City, Liaoning Province (40.5 degrees north latitude, 122.4 degrees east longitude), with a focal depth of about 9 kilometers. The epicenter was about 24 kilometers away from Yingkou City, about 75 kilometers away from Panjin City, and about 168 kilometers away from Shenyang City.
According to preliminary information, there are currently no reports of casualties or property damage.
In addition, according to the China Seismological Network, at 05:43:30 on February 2, 2012, a magnitude 3.6 earthquake occurred at the junction of Gaizhou City, Dashiqiao City and the municipal district of Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, with a focal depth of 9 kilometers.
