Don't dwell on past events.
It starts with four protagonists (all men) going on an adventure and then falling into a cave. They accidentally find the Crystal of Light. There is a BOSS guarding the crystal, which seems to be called the Continental Turtle. They defeat the BOSS and obtain the remaining power of the Crystal of Light... I still remember that there is a protagonist named Bowman.
