Lianyungang Chaopai has been the national sales leader for decades, selling more than 300 million pieces a year. If you line up all the Chaopai, they could wrap around Lianyungang over a hundred times. On the streets of Lianyungang, a man bought a pound of Chaopai and turned to leave, while the girl selling Chaopai waved the pastry high and shouted, 'Hey, your Chaopai!' The man looked back and smiled, saying, 'It's your Chaopai!' Chaopai is a major specialty of Lianyungang; not every pastry is called Chaopai!
