Following the displayed steps, he entered his QQ account information to update it. However, trouble arose that same afternoon. Not only that, but throughout the afternoon, he received calls from four or five QQ friends, all of whom were asking him about borrowing money. According to experts, Mr. Wang's computer system had fallen into a trap set by hackers. The reason his account was compromised was that he mistakenly clicked on a phishing link that impersonated the QQ official security center website. Experts indicated that this type of fraud is quite covert. Ordinary internet users usually do not suspect websites that display the QQ official logo. Even if users are somewhat suspicious, most of them do not distinguish real QQ official websites from fake ones. Coupled with carelessness, it is easy for accounts and passwords to be stolen. After stealing users' accounts and passwords, hackers impersonate the account holders to defraud their QQ friends under various pretenses such as borrowing money, transferring funds, or buying items. It is reported that within a week, Kingsoft Internet Security intercepted over 5,000 phishing websites impersonating the QQ official security center. Hackers query fake QQ security center phishing sites approximately 66,000 times daily. Additionally, security experts advise that when users receive messages, emails, or chats claiming to be from the QQ security official, they should not rush to click on links, and especially when visiting unfamiliar small websites, they should exercise extra caution.
