Sina Technology news, May 13 afternoon—In response to recent reports from a large number of consumers that Xiaomi phones (Weibo) have restart problems, Xiaomi Technology (Weibo) posted "Explanation and Solution Regarding the Restart Issue of Xiaomi Phones" on its official forum yesterday, acknowledging the restart problem. However, the company stated that the repair rate for Xiaomi phones is currently lower than that of ordinary smartphones.
Xiaomi stated that smartphone restart issues can be divided into occasional restarts and frequent restarts: occasional restarts are generally caused by software conflicts and system instability and can be resolved by upgrading software or updating the version; frequent restarts are usually caused by both software system and hardware factors. If restarts occur due to system issues, they can be resolved by updating the version or other methods, while if they are caused by hardware problems, Xiaomi phones will follow the national “Three Guarantees” policy.
"Due to production and material yield rates in the smartphone field, the general failure rate is usually between 4%-5%, and the current repair rate for Xiaomi phones is below 2%." Xiaomi stated that among the 2 million Xiaomi phones sold, a small number of users may experience restart or similar issues, and the company expressed sincere apologies.
