Users of Symbian smartphones now need to be more cautious. If you find that your phone cannot call the operator's customer service, or it automatically sends spam messages, it is possible that your phone has been infected with a Trojan program called 'DuMusicPlay'. \ Yang Haijun, Deputy Director of the Technology Department at the Shanghai Internet Emergency Response Center (SHCERT), told a reporter from IT Times that in September last year, the National Internet Emergency Response Center (CNCERT) and SHCERT detected the 'DuMusicPlay' program spreading within China. CNCERT and SHCERT conducted in-depth analysis and monitoring of 'DuMusicPlay' at that time. \ 'DuMusicPlay is a Trojan program targeting Symbian S60 3rd and 5th edition smartphone systems. It spreads to other phones through mobile MMS attachments and Trojan links in text messages.' \ It is reported that from August 30 to September 6 last year, nearly one million Symbian smartphones nationwide were infected, with over 40,000 infected phones located in Shanghai alone. \ Upon detecting 'DuMusicPlay', CNCERT organized joint actions with provincial centers and actively coordinated operators and relevant domain registrars to take emergency measures. \ According to SHCERT's Yao Qinfeng, based on current monitoring, as of the end of March, the number of mobile phone users infected with 'DuMusicPlay' in Shanghai has significantly decreased, but there are still over 15,000 infected phones. \ Yao Qinfeng stated that once users discover their phones have been infected with this Trojan, they should back up important data as soon as possible and seek help from the phone manufacturer's after-sales service department to reinstall the phone's operating system, or choose to use mobile security software for detection and removal. He also advised that mobile phone users should not easily trust so-called green software or download unknown mobile applications casually. For various mobile applications and security tools, it is best to download them from the official websites whenever possible.
