"It's so hard to be human, I might as well be a ghost! I might as well be a ghost!" With this thought, Ming Li no longer felt sorrowful, at least she no longer felt sorrow over her daughter's betrayal. She was surprised to discover that she had actually gained the ability to communicate with spirits! She stood up and saw a girl about twenty steps away on the river embankment, walking step by step into the river. Behind her was a death-seeking ghost in a black robe with long hair covering his face. The girl moved mechanically and stiffly, being pushed forward step by step by the long-haired ghost in black.\ Ming Li knew that the man in the black robe with long hair was a death-seeking ghost, and anyone he came across would surely die. "No, I have to stop him from causing harm!" At the moment the girl stepped into the river, Ming Li shouted loudly, "Let her go!"\ The middle-aged man let go of the girl, glanced at Ming Li with anger, and floated into the water.\ The girl woke as if from a dream and began to cry loudly. "How could this happen! How could this happen!" she cried and shouted, "Why did you change your mind!"\ "At such a young age, attempting to die by jumping into the river, doing utterly unfilial things—how can you face your parents and family?" Ming Li scolded the girl.\ "I don't want to either, but I can't control myself. What's the point of me living?" the girl said.\ "Of course you can't control yourself, there's a ghost pushing you!" Ming Li thought to herself, but she didn't say it out loud, fearing to frighten the girl.\ Ming Li hugged the girl and left the riverbank, heading to the street.\ "Where's my boyfriend!" Suddenly, the girl shook off Ming Li's hand and ran across the street. Ming Li saw the middle-aged man in the long-haired black robe, who had pushed the girl into the river earlier, standing on the other side, waving to her. Ming Li shouted to the girl, "That's not him, don't go!" Before she could finish, a speeding car struck the girl, sending her flying and then crashing heavily to the ground. Blood splattered everywhere as the girl fell into it without a sound.\ Upon receiving the report, an ambulance from the emergency center raced over and took the girl away.\ The incident had happened so suddenly that Ming Li was shaken; her legs felt weak, her whole body was powerless, and she felt sorrowful at being unable to stop the death-seeking ghost's malevolence. She wanted to leave the place and hailed a taxi to get in.\ "Sister, where to?" the driver asked.\ Ming Li's mind went completely blank. Where to? She had even forgotten where she wanted to go!"The driver glanced at Mingli, then asked again, 'Where to, big sister?' Mingli didn't say a word. Where to—where would she want to go! The driver screeched to a stop. 'Get out!' Mingli got out of the car mechanically. 'Crazy!' the driver cursed and drove off. Suddenly, the taxi bolted onto the sidewalk like a headless fly and crashed into a tree, coming to a stop. Mingli saw a middle-aged man with long hair in a black robe step out of the car, followed by the taxi driver who looked like a paper figure; they floated away into the night. The driver's life was taken so easily by a ghost! Mingli walked over to get a look. The car windows were all shattered. The driver lay on the steering wheel, pieces of glass sticking to his head and body, blood gushing from the wounds, trickling down his cheeks and dripping to the ground through the car door gaps. Mingli didn't feel an ounce of fear; she felt very natural and calm, as if admiring a painting, the flowers in it blooming brilliantly, making her smile slightly. 'It seems my life is not yet over; I shouldn't die! If I had gotten off the car a moment later, I might have died along with the driver.' She really shouldn't die; she should remain a person! She left the accident scene and unknowingly arrived at the music plaza in front of the train station. The plaza was extremely lively.
