For example:
I want to use hexadecimal to modify the villa in Harvest Story. The eight-door artifact can only modify money, and everything else is useless...
Who would use hexadecimal to modify GBA games?

Using the Pyson platform and God Hand to modify the C drive, this offset value modification feature is only available in version 1.2.
If it hasn't been modified before, you need to find the coordinates.
For example, for money, the God Hand modifies the money position in vbagx's dat file at 200.
Then, at least, you need to find the money position in the version five svs save file. Suppose the position is 300.
Then the difference between the large and small is 100, which is the offset value. So after using God Hand's modification feature, a prompt like the one in the picture will appear. Set the backward offset “+”, you can input 100 and then select the dat content to modify it.
For example, today I modified it for a friend. I found the skill position of the first monarch in the svs save is 197388.
And in the custom character dat I made, the skill modification position for the first monarch is 120839.
Then using 197388 - 120839 = 76549.
This 76549 is the offset value.
It's also used when modifying the dat file. When the option pops up, choose set backward offset “+”, input 76549, and then you can select the dat and the content to modify it. After modification, it's done.

The offset for each game is also different, so learning more for yourself is the practical way.
