When the original poster (OP) got home, he found his father sitting in the corner with a worried expression, holding the front door in his hands, which was almost burning, yet he seemed completely unaware. OP sensitively sensed that his father must be hiding some unspeakable troubles, so he approached and gently called out, 'Dad?' Only then did OP's father come back to his senses, looked at OP with some guilt, then lowered his head again and said in a low voice, 'Son, I have something to discuss with you...' After a pause, OP's father continued, 'I really can't gather the tuition for next semester, you might...' Upon hearing this, OP already understood his father's meaning. Being sensible, OP stepped forward and said to his father, 'It's okay, Dad. Going to school isn't the only way to succeed. In the future, I'll work with you, brick by brick, and sooner or later we'll be foremen.' OP's father was already choked up and couldn't speak, 'Son...' Although he said that, OP was still thinking to himself: I will never see my goddess again. So he decided to ask the goddess out for one last meeting. OP arrived early at the agreed location but the goddess did not show up; gradually, he realized that she had really stood him up. Overwhelmed with despair, he returned home in a daze. Just as he was about to enter his room, he suddenly heard a familiar voice from inside, 'Big brother, you're so amazing, truly vigorous even in old age.' Then his father's still low voice sounded again, 'You little devil, for you, I even put my son's tuition at risk.'
