The jolts finally roused Li from his dream. Li hurriedly opened his eyes. “Ah… an earthquake!” He then saw Vilia grinning smugly as she drove.\“Vilia! At that moment, a hand suddenly appeared from somewhere and pulled Li out of the car. “Hey hey? Who is it?” Luckily, Li was agile and did not fall on the ground; he landed in a half-crouch. “Vilia?!”\“Shh…” Vilia also crouched by the car, glanced at Li, pulled out a pistol from behind her back, and scanned the surroundings. “Don't you feel something's off?”\“Hmm? Off?” Li looked carefully in the direction Vilia was scanning.\Suddenly, with a rustle, birds on the trees around the car all flew up, chirping loudly. Whoosh… A figure appeared in front of Li and Vilia. Just as they were about to resist, the figure—a person wearing a red mask—quickly drew a long knife from somewhere and pressed it against their necks.Because Li was very close to Vilia, controlling both of their necks with the length of a knife was quite simple.
