You can't calculate it this way. If you exclude the money returned, mom and dad gave a total of 490 + 490 = 980. After buying a pair of shoes, 10 yuan was left, which is yours. The total for the second time was calculated incorrectly.
Or let's put it this way. Mom and Dad gave a total of 1,000. Later, 20 was paid back in total. So it's equivalent to giving a total of 980. Here, you need to subtract your own 10! That's for the shoes.
