About thirty miles from Lin'an City, there is a small town called 'Qi Qi Two Three Town' (the character 'Qi' is hard to type on a phone, so sometimes I type '七' instead), commonly referred to as 'Qi Qi Town.' The origin of the town's name has long been lost to history, only that this small town has existed for a long time. To the east, the town faces a river, and to the west, it faces Lin'an City, living in peaceful isolation.
Qi Qi Town has two streets, with rather peculiar names: the East Street is called Tianshui, and the West Street is called Dihuo. East Street mainly sells household items and sundries, while West Street sells a great variety of things, including vegetables and fruits, often with many novel items as well. Every day, the townspeople of Qi Qi Town go back and forth between the two streets to obtain what they need for life, creating a lively atmosphere.
At the corner of East Street, there is an inn, where passersby usually stop to rest. The innkeeper is a scholar named Zhanzhang, who, it is said, fell on hard times and had no choice but to use his last bit of money to come to this remote town and open an inn to make a living. Zhanzhang is a very kind-hearted man who loves to mediate conflicts, whether between couples or ongoing quarrels.
Both East and West Streets are bustling with voices. Some villagers shuttle between the two streets to make a living, and Lu Renjia is exactly such a person. Every day before dawn, he hurriedly gets up, takes vegetables from his family garden, crosses Tianshui Bridge, and sells them on Dihuo Street to earn a livelihood. One cannot help but admire Lu Renjia. His stall is located at the corner from Tianshui Street to Dihuo Street. By sitting there, passersby can see him, and he has cover when it rains and stone benches to sit on normally, thanks to the advantageous location: five steps to the west is Xiao Ji's rouge shop. Because of the location, even in the later years, selling vegetables can be done leisurely. Xiao Ji runs the rouge shop just for fun. While others wake up early every day to open their shops, Xiao Ji opens his mostly around noon according to his own preference; customers can choose whatever they like, but Xiao Ji sells according to his own whims, whatever he feels like. There is no denying that this reflects Xiao Ji's personality. Therefore, everyone in town knows that the owner of the rouge shop is very unreliable.Lu Renjia normally, after selling his vegetables, would stroll along the two streets with his empty basket, picking up some practical items, and he liked most to stop by the station master's inn for a small drink and greet the station master. Lu Renjia saw a man walking with a sluggish pace, a thin reed in his mouth, pointing at some merchants and farmers with a fire poker as he walked. Lu Renjia glanced at him once and paid no further attention. This man was named Ao Xiang, the only constable in this small town. Strangely, in Qiqi Town, there was neither a county magistrate nor any regular patrol, yet there was a constable. People had their doubts about Ao Xiang, but when he solemnly pulled out the appointment certificate and token issued by Lin'an Prefecture from his chest, everyone no longer doubted him. In such a small town, when had anyone seen a token from Lin'an Prefecture before? Thus, Ao Xiang became the highest law enforcer in Qiqi Town. He usually ran around recklessly from the county office, checking a fruit in the east street, a fish in the west street, and whenever he encountered a dispute, he would start with his fire poker. Ao Xiang's most common phrase was, “I, your honorable constable, am in charge here! You unruly people still dare to act out!” People often wondered if Ao Xiang would say the same to a pig, calling it 'unruly'.
In front of the station master's inn grew an old locust tree. The elders said it looked the same back then as it does now. Beneath the tree was a beggar known to everyone as Long Yu. Many things in this town were quite strange. Normally, beggars were very poor, but Long Yu was different. He usually lay under the old locust tree for a light nap, often holding meat in his hands — sometimes a pig leg, sometimes a dog leg or lamb leg. While beggars had no home, Long Yu did. Not only did he have a home, he also had a beautiful mistress named Yue Guang. Even stranger, Long Yu's residence was not far from the station master's inn, so when there was no housework, Yue Guang would take a palm leaf fan down to the locust tree to fan Long Yu to keep him cool. Therefore, it was not unusual to see beggar Long Yu lying on Yue Guang's jade-like legs while gnawing on a lamb leg or the like; Long Yu thoroughly enjoyed it.
With a constable, naturally there were also hooligans, though to the townspeople, the two were not much different. There were only three hooligans in Qiqi Town. Seeing Qiang Dao and Wei Shang driven away by Ao Xiang with a fire poker, the robber cried in a thin voice, “I'll call my big brother to deal with you!”"The big brother of the bandits and Wei Shang is named Bloodthirst (we won't use the words 'priest'; not many people were signing up for roles, so we had to compromise). Because of his large and strong physique, few people dare to provoke him. However, Aoxiang is a strange fellow. It is said that when Aoxiang first arrived, he was questioned by the Bloodthirst trio. What happened afterward is unknown, but afterwards, the bandits and Wei Shang would run whenever they saw Aoxiang. Although they always shouted that they would punish him, they never actually dared to act. Later, Xiao Ji from the Rouge Shop said that when Aoxiang first arrived, he was surrounded by Bloodthirst and his group. They did not consider that a head constable would have some skill. Naturally, the three were beaten to a pulp. Since then, even though the trio of hooligans claimed every time they saw Aoxiang that they wouldn't rest until they defeated him, they would always turn around and run. (I'm a newcomer and writing a martial arts novel for the first time, so any shortcomings, please kindly advise. Also, I haven't really thought of a book title yet, so I just used this one for now. There are still many roles available, please quickly reply to apply! I will try my best to meet everyone's role requests. I'm participating in an event this time; moderator, please highlight this post for a day. Typing on my phone is tiring, please excuse any typos. Newbie reporting in, hoping for everyone's support! To be continued!)"

Hold it up yourself
I'll support it too
Ah Lei, that segmented storyline looks a bit messy, but the plot is fine, worthy of highlighting.
Thank you, Little Sheep and the expert!
Not easy, huh? I suggest updating every two days.
There are still a few people who applied for roles today but haven't taken the stage, please be patient! Also, hurry up and apply for roles! I will try to update as much as possible!
Top, I..
Everyone, smash the flowers hard! I need a lot of flowers to get motivated! Let my little universe erupt!
Top… somehow it looks a bit funny
That 'Huā ài' and 'Cán nián' are going to play the villains, so they will appear a little later. Only Shang, I'm sorry to you! (No matter if they are bandits, hooligans, or ruffians, there will still be love!)
Yeah! I am a bad guy!!.
Such a good post, thumbs up~~~
Everyone attack together, smash the original poster to death with flowers
I sell rouge… and I'm very unreliable…
However, the feeling after reading it is: the content is more like 'small town trivialities'... a group of people leading ordinary lives, bored with trivial matters... However, the original poster might have a twist later, so it's still something to look forward to. What's worth praising is that the original poster can depict many characters in an organized manner, with each having a distinct and understandable personality, and the writing skills have reached a certain level.
Same as the 16th floor
After reading the replies on the 16th and 17th floors, I'm so excited! Today must be extraordinary! The gay guess was correct, hinting in advance: the more ordinary it is, the more extraordinary it is!
