Old Wang has been working very hard lately, almost doing overtime every day. Today, he didn't get off work until eleven o'clock.
"Sigh." Old Wang drove along the empty road home. "Let's listen to some music!" he thought, pressing the music button. "Damn, I forgot the SD card," Old Wang cursed. When things go wrong in life, bad luck seems to pile up too.
"Mag..." Old Wang suddenly saw about three meters ahead a girl on a bike crashing into a large rock and falling to the ground, so he quickly stepped on the brakes.
"Are you okay?" Old Wang hurriedly got out of the car and ran to where the girl had fallen. However, as he got closer, he realized that the girl and the brand-new bicycle he had just seen had completely changed. The perfectly fine bicycle now had a front wheel mysteriously bent and was covered in rust.
Then, Old Wang looked around but could not find the girl who had fallen anywhere. "Strange, where did she go?" Old Wang thought as he walked back to his car. He started the engine, bypassed the bicycle, and continued driving forward. Suddenly, he saw in the rearview mirror a skeleton lying next to the bicycle. Curiosity prompted Old Wang to get out and take a look. But when he did, he was astonished to find that not only was the skeleton gone, but the bicycle had disappeared too.
"Whoosh!" A chill ran down Old Wang's back. He started the engine and drove home as fast as he could.
"What? Impossible! How could that happen?" His colleague, after hearing Old Wang's story, thought he was making it up and mocked him.
"Don't believe me? Don't believe me, then come with me tonight and see for yourself," Old Wang said.
"Okay, if it's real, I'll give you a hundred yuan, but if it's fake, you owe me a hundred yuan. How about it, dare to bet?" his colleague said skeptically.
"Bet, then bet." Old Wang agreed.
It was eleven o'clock again when they got off work, with two people in the car, Old Wang and the colleague who had made the bet.
"Hey, Old Wang, is this really true? I still want to go back and sleep," his colleague yawned.
"Almost there, almost there, just ahead," Old Wang continued driving.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a large rock hit the girl, throwing her off the bike. Everything was exactly the same as last night.
"Let's get out and take a look," Old Wang suggested.
So the two of them carefully opened the car doors. "Ah!""Suddenly, my colleague let out a scream. Old Wang turned around and saw a skeleton standing about a meter from the right car door. In panic, he quickly closed the door, pressed the accelerator to the floor, and sped toward Old Wang's house.
When they arrived at Old Wang's home, the two of them gasped for several breaths, and after calming down for a moment, my colleague seemed to recall something and said, 'Old Wang, I heard that three years ago, on that very road, a girl rode her bike into a stone and died as a result. Haven't you heard about it?'
'No, I only moved here a year ago. Hmm? You mean just now...'
'That's right, just now it was probably the lingering spirit of that girl, coming out to scare people...'
