[Discussion] Let's talk about that picture of 'Chinese Chess'
Has anyone played it yet? I played it on Ancient 1.2, starting with 500 gold, a unit cap of 20, on the blue side. It ended in a total of 97 turns and took 2 hours. I played twice in total. The first time, I couldn't break through halfway and ended up giving the opponent experience until the lord died, and then I realized all the AI units were level 9 stone~ sweat! But I finally won the second game. Has anyone else played that map? Let's discuss…

No matter what map I play, I always choose the blue side first...
Sigh, I don't know which editor the official Gear-games team used for the Art of War 2 map, otherwise I could make my own map.
I passed; it's much simpler than the diagram I made myself.
I play red. Choosing red is too easy. Use rocks to hold positions, cooperate with auras, and siege engines in the back are invincible. Use wounded soldiers to lure the enemy and proceed steadily. Then a few groups of dragons go for a deadly strike, and finally the lord occupies the city. It takes about half an hour to bring the opponent down. The map is pretty good, but the blue side seems difficult.
The computer is an idiot; it will always attack proactively no matter what. Playing as the blue side against the computer is unfair.
Troop limit 50, starting 500
I didn't say that the blue side was unfair; the red side can pass very easily.
Love, I originally wanted to challenge the high difficulty, but who knew that the 1.2 board attribute was formatted incorrectly and couldn't be installed, feeling frustrated...
The blue side is too easy. Just block the road and place the catapult behind it. The red side has little money and will be worn out soon.
Is playing as blue unfair? It's precisely because the computer is not as good as the human brain that it was given so many stones. The computer is not stupid; it retreats to replenish health when low, it will block positions, ambush your archers, and take small advantages. It's just that the computer always makes mistakes in common sense.
My strategy is different from the one on the 9th floor. I have the boss lead two archers, a few skeleton infantry, and a water element to rush down the top path, then send another boss on the right to hold the block, level up, and spend some time stalling against the computer before rushing again. The strategy on the 9th floor seems to be more about waiting and conserving effort! Hehe
The computer always targets the weak units first. A stone with 99 health is used to attract the enemy. After entering the attack range, you add an aura and a siege engine. The computer's AI is still a bit lacking and can only make up for it with innate attribute conditions.
Original poster: Where can I download version 1.2?
I can win if I start attacking with red, the computer won't use the witch. One golem, one witch, one ice spirit, and one catapult are enough. Choose one lane and push hard, using skeletons to take the hits, and in the other lanes, just use golem and witch to block.
Now I increasingly like counterattacking
The Red side has 12 houses and 1 castle, with a guaranteed income of 410 per turn. The Blue side initially has only 8 houses and 2 castles, with an income of only 340 per turn. Only by occupying the 4 empty houses can Blue have 50 more income than Red, so Red's income isn't much less than Blue's. Also, can you handle Red's initial 8 stones? I suspect level 9 was played with the Gold Edition because the Gold Edition reduces the attack of stones and increases the range and attack of catapults (the original version is 50–70, while the Gold Edition seems to be 70–90). Stones in the Gold Edition can't beat a single infantry—poor stones!
The original skeletons do not have poisonous attacks, the witch's range is only 1, and she cannot attack across or attack skeletons from a distance.
Who modified the Gold Edition?
The answer on the 12th floor is correct, this is related to AI's hate value...
It seems that the level 1.2 witch can no longer summon skeletons from a distance.
