AE2 Map Sharing: Icefield [1v2]
This is the only original AE2 map for 1v2. Personally, I find this map harder than some of the legendary 1v3 maps. Highly recommended. Firstly, to clarify, the legendary 1v2 is not a three-way free-for-all; it's your team against a team of two AIs. The two AIs won't fight each other but will help each other fight you. It's the same principle for 1v3. I have only played the original 1v2 by quickly producing stones. Back then, the game started with 2000 gold, a population cap of 20, and choosing blue without creating overpowered stones worked fine. Beginner strategy: 1v1v1 three-way free-for-all (the key is to play low-key). Experienced player strategy: 1v2, choose blue, start with 2000 gold. Expert strategy: 1v2, choose blue, don't produce stones. Super expert strategy: 1v2, choose green, don't produce stones, start with 500 gold. Actually, I think the original maps are the most classic.
