First of all, to those wielding big swords who clicked into this article, I sincerely hope you read it carefully. If you don't understand something, ask promptly. I believe it will definitely help you. (Experienced players, please don't criticize.) Next, let's briefly go over a few points mentioned in this article, which are as follows: 1. Weapon damage. 2. Physical hit rate. 3. Number of attacks. 4. Critical points. 5. Armor penetration. The above five points are directly related to a big sword's output, so we won't cover slashing here, as there's nothing much to say about it. Additionally, this article also applies to hammers. Once you understand how to stack these five points, you'll understand how to play a physical character. ——————I'm drawing a dividing line———————— Weapon Damage Section: There are three commonly used big sword weapons. They are: Calamity Devourer Fang, Headless Knight's Great Blade, and Myriad Phenomena Senluo. Their maximum weapon damages are 2941, 3266, and 3433, respectively. The high output of the big sword lies here. A properly allocated sword generally attacks 6 + 5 = 11 times in the first round. If holding the Myriad Phenomena sword, the weapon damage in the first round is already 37,763. From the fact that every strong player has an enchanted weapon, you can see the importance of weapon damage. Next, I'll talk about three weapon damage skills related to the big sword: Weapon Master, Flying Sword Technique, and Basic Swordsmanship. Here, I should mention that these three skills must be maxed out to achieve the best damage with an enchanted weapon. I often check the market, and there are always big sword players who, in pursuit of breaking through and maximum damage, do not max out the weapon damage skills. This is inadvisable. PS: For the Dangle version of the big sword, it is recommended to learn level 20 Enchanted Weapon; the Tencent version requires level 21. Physical Hit Rate Section: Next is hit rate. Hit rate was ignored at the very beginning of the game—just look at those old guides. Back then, it relied on the mandatory hit from Tianxiang; this was a mistake from the start. Times have changed; Tianxiang is basically useless, so we need new methods to increase hit rate. Below are several relevant skills: Basic Palm, Weapon Mastery, Precise Strike, Two Arts Bagua Palm, and Ghost Shadow Movement. Generally, maxing 21 in Basic Palm and 21 in Weapon Mastery gives over 300 hit rate.Relying on some equipment to boost accuracy to 400 would be considered adequate. Personally, I recommend 430, which is a subtle accuracy number that is relatively easy to achieve and is a reasonable figure. As for the greatsword, Weapon Mastery is essential, and the basic Palm Technique should always be fully learned, regardless of whether you are a Warrior or a Rogue. For the Golden Hammer, you don't need to max the Palm Technique; learning some Precision Strike is also acceptable. Stacking Ghost Shadow Technique for accuracy is another option. I recommend that if your armor is the Coffin Robe and it also boosts Ghost Shadow Technique, you can learn this skill.
Attack Count: This is closely related to your damage output. The more hits you can make, the higher the damage and the higher the chance to hit. There aren't many ways to increase your attack count, but there are a few: 1. Flying Sword Technique (level 21, 3 attack counts), 2. Weapon Mastery (level 21, 2 attack counts), 3. White Dragon King 4 times, Terror Beast 3 times, Ghost Beast 1 time, Gryphon 2 times. A standard greatsword should have 6 attack counts. By fully learning Flying Sword Technique and Weapon Mastery, plus your own attack once, you can reach 6 attacks on the status panel. For casual players, Weapon Mastery 5 with the Neptune Helmet is best.
Critical Hits: Like accuracy, critical hits are often overlooked at the beginning. Similarly, forgetting about accuracy is also a mistake because of Tianxiang. The status panel shows that accuracy doubles damage, though I've seen damage fluctuate between 1.4–1.6; there's some debate, but it's not discussed here. In short, critical hits are also very important. Skills related to critical hits are: 1. Holy Spirit Power, 2. Mastering Heavy Strike, 3. Innate Formless Divine Skill. We won't discuss critical hits added by sword & hammer combat skills. Practical testing with the Golden Seven Sense Sword at level 21 with Formless, 10 Heavy Strikes, and the Undead can guarantee 100% critical, while mixed setups require more learning. For mounts related to critical hits, Black Tiger and Red Wolf are the classic ones (White Dragon King is not discussed here because it's recommended for identifying attack count). Rogues should use Black Tiger, Warriors should use Red Wolf.
Armor Penetration: There's nothing much to say here—just keep stacking it. Personally, I feel 7,000–8,000 is enough for dungeons. The related skills are only Mastering Armor Penetration and Xuanyuan Stunning Move. Next, just stack Strength—the more Strength, the more armor penetration. One thing to note is that Golden Sword skills have limited points, so it's recommended not to fully learn Mastering Armor Penetration.
