He Shen tested Ji Xiaolan with an opening couplet: 'There is a bird on the tree; the bird shakes, the tree also shakes. When the bird has flown away, the tree still shakes three times.' Ji Xiaolan replied with the matching couplet: 'He Shen goes to pee; the bird shakes, the pee also shakes. When all the pee has finished, the bird still shakes three times.'
