We all know that in the general S40 phones! Settings - Phone Settings - Software Update (Upgrade) - this function always doesn't work and must be done through a computer using Phoenix for flashing. Today, there is finally a way to upgrade directly via the phone. Although it's not original, I'm sharing it with friends.

1. First, set the network to 'GPRS connect to the Internet.'
2. Set the profile mode to Airplane Mode.
The next step is the most important: after Airplane Mode, switch back to Standard. At this moment, the phone will briefly lose signal. During these few seconds, quickly go to Settings - Phone Settings - Automatic Software Update - Download Update.

Note, you must be fast! If it doesn't succeed, try a few more times! You can upgrade the phone up to v10.4.

When flashing, make sure the phone has enough battery, preferably fully charged. Never remove the battery during flashing. A brief white screen may appear during the process, but it will be fine after a while.

Personally tested successfully on the 2730c.

Really? Could it crash from flashing?
It shouldn't turn into a brick, right? If that happens, it's completely dead.
Exactly, it means I changed my phone.
