Dou Dou Biography. Drunken Life\(I)\ The sky is harmonious and the wind is calm, the stars and constellations resonate together. Gazing across the pavilions and terraces of the world, one is intoxicated by the beauty of a fine person, happily plucking strings in contentment.\(II)\ A young man with a pure family background, aspirations in his heart. Like drifting duckweed in the world, he brushes away emotional chaos without realizing the highs and lows. The bright moon and spring breeze float gently, the garden is always flourishing in a desolate way. In paintings and poems, the age of seventeen comes and goes, always burdened with impermanence. The qin and moon harmonize in the mountains and rivers, talent and emotion admirably pursued among flowers. In the morning hearing the blue spring, in the evening climbing the green mountains, singing by the spring while drinking, laughing naturally.\(III)\ Throughout my life, I have had a solitary pursuit, following the clear stream by boat, gathering scholars for joy, leaving intoxication among rivers, mountains, wind, and moon. Even if one paints with a single stroke across the rivers and seas, it becomes carefree talk forgetting worldly schemes. But the world is muddy, dots of ink on bronze, a stroke thick with sorrow. Regret fills my life, pain in the present ordinariness. In the past, Li Bai's elegant writings, wine poured on the Chu walls, Dou Dou's grievances of love, paper notes consuming the soul. Following in later rhymes, Confucius is not a sage, Yi Shan is melancholic, why not imitate them? Wild songs pass the days, solitude and misty clouds drift away.\(IV)\ Today, a good day, Nalan Dou Dou, ambitions in the fleeting years are unclear, wielding the sword traveling alone to the ends of the earth. Seeking what one desires, flying from this moment onward, deep affection unyielding, how much heartache?\
