Recently, in an interview, James Cameron stated that he suggested 'Terminator 5' should continue to have Arnold Schwarzenegger return to star as the 'Terminator T-800'.

James Cameron's 3D version of 'Titanic' has resumed and is currently attracting a lot of revenue worldwide. Even though Cameron himself is unwilling to take on 'Terminator 5', this does not affect his concern for the sequel in the slightest. It is reported that 'Terminator 5' was originally planned to be directed by Justin Lin, the director of 'Fast & Furious 5', who had already discussed some of the sequel's plot with Cameron. However, Lin had to give up the director's seat for 'Terminator 5' due to filming 'Fast & Furious 6'.
