Cult attack!?
I don't know if it's really a cult, but it really harms people a lot. My cousin is already going through a divorce because of it! My aunt, during the New Year, actually didn't celebrate with the family but went to worship some big Buddha? My grandma was also damn brainwashed! I don't know what they have done, but quite a lot of money was scammed. And speaking of my cousin, the mistress crisis has passed peacefully, yet a modern post-80s person still believes in some cult????

Besides Falun Gong, there are a bunch of other strange and heretical religions. I feel terrified just hearing others talk about them; luckily, I haven't experienced them personally.
If they were really Japanese spies, I would fight them to the death. However, from what I have heard and understood, all the cults I know of are local, not foreign.
This is a very normal phenomenon. Nowadays, life is stressful, and many people need a spiritual support figure. On top of that, given the current government management loopholes, corruption, bribery, and officials abusing their power are countless, which inevitably leads to the growth and spread of such things. For example, take the Diaoyu Islands incident; everyone should be aware of the government's attitude. Are you angry at such an attitude? Personally, I am very angry. Now, if a cult were to exaggerate in this matter, claiming that the government wants to hand over the Diaoyu Islands to the Japanese, would you be disappointed in the government? In that case, it would have an opportunity to exploit the situation.
But in my view, although such groups do almost all bad things—for example in the case like yours—the actions of these groups, while definitely deserving of punishment, are not without a tiny benefit. At least, the more rampant they become, the more the government pays attention, and the more it improves its management. After all, no one wants their own weak points to be harshly criticized by the enemy.
Furthermore, to give an example, if this group spreads propaganda widely claiming that the government will hand over the Diaoyu Islands to the Japanese—otherwise, why hasn't it been recovered for so long—and if this propaganda has already reached an unstoppable level, the government, in order to stabilize public sentiment, can hardly allow the Japanese to make noise now.
However, this group is obviously unpopular, as it even extorts ordinary citizens. So, Lu Zhu, report it to the police. Although it may be difficult to trace, you are a man; if you are not afraid of danger, just follow that episode of Conan where a ghost dies.
