A couple of years ago, around 11 p.m. one night, my soy milk machine received a phone call. The person on the other end screamed at me crazily: We're China Post, your boyfriend is having a difficult labor, hurry over to prepare the aftermath! Hahaha!

I put down the soy milk machine and quickly grabbed a bowl of canned food to eat. Halfway through, I put the bowl down and ran downstairs. A train was coming from afar; I waved, and the train stopped in front of me. The driver pushed the door open and asked, ‘Where to?' I said, ‘China Post.' ‘Your train is too slow. I want to take a taxi.'

The driver was shocked, pressing the accelerator. Screech! The train skidded on the cement road, sparks flying, dragging two grooves as it derailed and rushed away.

I looked at my shoes—just past one o'clock. I turned and ran upstairs. On the rooftop, a helicopter marked 'Titanic' landed, spinning the wind around it. I went forward and asked, ‘Going to China Post, will you take me? My boyfriend is having a difficult labor. Let me ride with you.' The pilot said, ‘This is urgent. My helicopter is too slow. You should take a taxi.' Then the helicopter dropped an anchor toward the ground and slowly lifted a taxi. The driver stuck his head out and shouted, ‘Going to China Post? Meter or negotiate a price?'

I stood under the helicopter, the strong wind hitting my face, the situation very urgent. I asked, ‘Usually how much?'

The driver said into the walkie-talkie, ‘Two hundred!'

I also grabbed a soy milk machine and said, ‘Too expensive! I'll just buy a car!'

The driver leaped out of the car onto the rooftop, rolled, and stood up, saying, ‘Buy a car? Come to me.'

I asked, ‘What cars do you have?'

The driver rolled out a BMW marked TAXI and said, ‘Luxury sports car. Entirely handmade.'

I looked and indeed it was handmade. The fuel gauge was all hand-drawn.

Without a word, I took a sack of IC cards from my arms and solemnly handed it to the driver. I said, ‘Good car. I'll take it. There's six million in call credit inside, take it. Use it sparingly.'

The driver's eyes welled up with tears, his trembling hands running over the rough IC card, choked, unable to speak.

I sighed deeply, patted the driver's shoulder, and said, ‘Thank you. Go.'

I carried the BMW to a fast-food restaurant, bought a secondhand urn, and headed to China Post. When I arrived, it was already six p.m. An employee wearing a mask came over and asked, ‘Are you a family member of the patient?' I said yes. ‘My boyfriend, how is he?' The employee shook their head, ‘We did our best.'But… sigh… father and son are safe…\
I was instantly at a loss. My boyfriend carried the child and walked slowly to my side, asking with concern: What are you doing?\
I said: My mind is blank.\
My boyfriend complained: Why does your mind love to be blank so much?\
I flew into a rage, picked up the urn, pointed it at his head, and said: What do you mean by saying my mind is blank, huh? You, as a man, in a world like this, so logical, what the hell are you having a child for?! How am I supposed to face society's opinion later? Do you want to be on the Spring Festival Gala or what?!\
I yelled fiercely, and with a 'click' sound I opened the urn latch.\
My boyfriend looked at me calmly and said: I know this isn't the real reason you want to kill me.\
I said: Right. The real reason is, if you don't die, wouldn't this urn be a waste of money?!\
After saying that, I steeled my heart and pulled the urn's trigger.\
There was a 'bang' from the urn, and my boyfriend was killed inside it. I held the body on the ground, overwhelmed with emotion. This, had once been the person I loved most…***.\
I wailed loudly, and the nearby postal clerk kept trying to sell me bottled water. I cried and shouted: No! I don't want your damn water! Take it away!!\
I cried for a while, then went to the toilet. At the toilet door, a man holding a gun with 'escort' printed on it said coldly: Sorry. It's polar day now, you can't go to the toilet.\
I stared at the toilet, silently turned around, and walked away. After two steps, I looked back and stepped on the man. Then I left quietly. Someone handed me a flyer: Self-service Crematorium Year-End Promotion. Twenty yuan per person.\
I stopped the flyer distributor and told him to take my boyfriend to participate in the cremation.\
We arrived at the crematorium, and there was already a 13 meter 56 cm long line at the entrance. Finally, the exciting moment came. I looked at the two cremation workers—one shoveling coal, one fanning with a leaf fan—filling the air with a wonderful fragrance. The fanning worker looked up and asked me: How many to burn?\
I shoved my boyfriend to him: One.\
The coal-shoveling worker asked: Add cumin seeds?\
I hesitated for a moment and asked: No extra charge, right?\
The worker said: No.\
I said: Then one sack.\
After a while, the fanning worker came to me: Come, see if the fire is enough.\
I politely declined: You can judge the heat yourself.I've been a bit left-handed recently, and the doctor doesn't allow me to eat meat.\ The master turned and left. He returned after a moment: Takeout or eat here?\ I asked, what's the difference between the two?\ The master said: No difference. Here.\ I carried a second-hand urn, holding thoughts of my boyfriend, and set off for the bus.\ Walking on the road, looking out the window, I thought sorrowfully:\ 'Where the hell did I just put the child?'\ Author: hanxu4413
