Recommend the dark movie 'The Martyr'
"Martyrs"\ I watched this movie twice, and it's really good. Since there is no science or evidence to prove that humans have souls, in the film, the female protagonist is selected by scientists to see if people approaching death can see God and receive divine revelation, from which they gain enlightenment.\ This is a thoroughly religious film. Watching it again, I sat through it with my lips pursed until the end, seeing how the female scientists continuously tortured the chosen subjects to allow the female protagonist to see God before death. None succeeded; all were tortured to death. Only the female protagonist, after having her skin brutally flayed, did not die. The female scientist was extremely excited—she finally found someone who could endure the utmost human pain and still survive. Everyone was elated. The female scientist then gathered social elites and devoted religious believers to wait outside for divine revelation.\ Ten minutes after the female protagonist was flayed, she entered a near-death state. Her confused and desperate eyes made me unable to hold back tears.\ The scientist excitedly asked, "What did you see? What did you see!"\ The female protagonist replied, "I saw endless confusion!!!"\ Then the female scientist shot herself.\ At the end, when the female protagonist delivered that line, I was truly moved, feeling a deep shock from the depths of my soul. What a great film…\ This film contains a large amount of bloody and violent scenes, and it is not recommended for underage viewers.
