When there's a storm, it's hard to make the parties involved feel satisfied, so basically there's no need to worry about that. There's no need to discuss big principles like right and wrong or forum development; just stick to the facts, explain the whole issue logically, reasonably, and politely. Tit-for-tat? Once you experience it, you won't want it again. The best way is to maintain a normal state of mind, be practical, and pursue objectivity. Anyone angry is inevitably subjective: they want to argue and vent, and if you respond, you become passive.
