When the four arrived at the mall, they realized it had already been overrun by infected. They escaped the mall using a sports car and headed for New Orleans.\The Passing\After escaping the mall with the car, they went across a suspension bridge and needed to lower the other side of the bridge to continue. Here, they also met three of the heroes from the first game, while the other veteran, Bill, had already died (but from the poster, it seems like Louis is missing).\Dark Carnival\When the car reached the highway, they found the road blocked by car wrecks, so they had to travel on foot through the amusement park and use the stage fireworks and lights there to get the attention of a helicopter.\Swamp Fever\According to the original character setup, after the four got on the helicopter, they discovered the pilot was infected, causing the helicopter to crash near a train station. The survivors crossed a swamp and took temporary shelter in a nearby plantation. In the plantation, the four contacted a ship captain via radio.\Hard Rain\The four wanted to go to New Orleans, but the captain said the ship didn't have enough fuel to get there. So the four went to a nearby gas station in the pouring rain to find diesel.\The Parish\With the captain's help, the four finally reached New Orleans. On the surface, the military was still evacuating survivors, but when they arrived at the evacuation point, they discovered the military planned to bomb the bridges to prevent further virus spread.
