The story takes place in the 22nd century. The exact year is forgotten; all that is known is that the season is one where cicadas are lazy and fish play in the shallow waters of summer. On a summer morning in Fenghai City, the sunlight is so bright that it always feels intoxicating. In a seaside villa, a young boy opens the window and looks at the distant shore. Occasionally, a light sea breeze blows through, causing his hair to move slightly. "Hmm... the sun has just left the horizon. It's so beautiful, huh..." he says, stretching lazily by the window. At that moment, a gentle male voice is heard from the living room: "Little Gezi! Come eat breakfast!" The boy glances toward the living room and responds. Then he turns back to look at the distant sea — sparkling in the morning light — and feels an inexplicable sense of comfort, before closing the window and going to eat.
The boy being called to eat is his older brother, named You Ming. Their parents, for certain reasons, could not live with the two brothers, so You Ming took on the responsibility of caring for You Ge from a young age. The hardships they faced are beyond words. Now, the two brothers have grown up: the older brother is 20, and the younger is 16.
"Hurry up and eat. Once you're done, come with me to the Fighting Tournament Practice Hall to have a look." As You Ge sits down, before even having a chance to put food in his mouth, You Ming says leisurely.
"Ah… what's so interesting about it? Is that really that fun? I just don't get it at all!"

Speaking of which, You Ge is most afraid of his brother glaring at him, especially with that sharp gaze combined with his brother's slightly long, silver, melancholic hair; it gives him the chills. "Alright, alright. I'll go with you!" Gezi swallows a mouthful of rice as black as a raven.
By the time the brothers finish breakfast, it is already 8:05. They gather their gear and prepare to head to the Fighting Tournament Practice Hall in Fenghai City to take a look.
