For a phone that has gotten wet, the first step is to rescue it, the second step is to immediately remove the battery. [Some may ask: what if it's an iPhone?] Then just wash it and bite the bullet! ... If you accidentally turn it on, quickly get the battery and blow on the phone forcefully with a hairdryer. If it seems serious, quickly take it to the store where you bought the phone and let them quickly open it up and clean the remaining water. It only costs about twenty or thirty. Tested personally.
