The Legend of the Ten Great Swords\Tenth Chengying
An ancient dawn, at the moment when the sky turned black and white, a pair of hands slowly rose. Within the clenched hands was a section of the sword hilt, but only the hilt was visible, but the blade was not visible, yet on the northern wall, a fleeting sword shadow was cast. The sword shadow lasted only a moment before vanishing with the arrival of daylight. Until dusk, as dusk fell, at the moment when day and night intertwined, that evolving sword shadow reappeared. The raised hands traced an elegant arc, striking at a tall ancient pine tree nearby. A soft "crack" sounded in the ears, and the tree trembled slightly, but showed no change. However, not long after, the lush pine canopy slowly fell in a gentle southern wind, its flat and protruding rings marking the passage of time. As night fell, the sword faded into nothingness, and the ancient dusk silently closed, bringing a tranquil atmosphere between heaven and earth. This invisible and invisible long sword was highly praised by Liezi in the "Tang Wen" chapter, forged in the Shang Dynasty and later hidden by Kong Zhou of Wei during the Spring and Autumn period. Chengying is a refined and elegant sword. Sword Qi Strike Index: 7 The story is recorded in Chapter 9 of "Liezi: Tang Wen" Chunjun. On a sunny afternoon during the Spring and Autumn period, after years of enduring hardship and enduring hardship, he finally defeated King Goujian of Wu. After a sweet nap, he woke up feeling very refreshed. After drinking a pot of fine Longjing tea, Goujian enthusiastically sent his men to find someone. This person was Xue Zhu. Xue Zhu was a Qin man traveling in Yue at the time. Although Xue Zhu was young, he was already renowned throughout the nations and was hailed as the world's number one master of the sword image. Before long, the handsome and refined Xue Zhu arrived. After a round of polite greetings, the host and guest led their attendants to the spacious outdoor terrace.King Goujian of Yue was extremely fond of swords. This terrace, several zhangs high, was grand in scale and well-lit, specifically meant for appreciating swords. After taking his seat, Goujian glanced at Xue Zhu beside him and thought that although this young man was very young, he had seen countless swords; ordinary swords would hardly catch his eye. So, he immediately ordered his attendants to bring forth two of the swords he was most proud of: Hao Cao and Ju Que. To his surprise, Xue Zhu casually glanced over them and remarked, “Both swords have flaws. Hao Cao is faint in brilliance, and Ju Que is coarse in texture, not fit to be called a precious sword.” After saying this, he lazily yawned in the warm sunlight. Goujian felt quite taken aback and embarrassed. He pondered for a moment, then, gritting his teeth, leaned close to a personal attendant and gave a few instructions. A while later, the attendant led several hundred armored warriors to escort a precious sword to the terrace below. Xue Zhu found it amusing and asked, “Your Majesty went through so much effort. What kind of sword is this?” Goujian, slightly displeased with Xue Zhu's attitude, replied harshly with two words: “Chun Jun.” With a clang, Xue Zhu fell backward from his seat, his hairpin falling to the ground, his long hair spreading down, his expression suddenly frozen and stunned. It took a long moment before he suddenly came to his senses. He lightly touched the ground with his toes, leapt down the steps, approached the sword, bowed deeply, then solemnly straightened his clothes, received the sword from the attendant, tapped and weighed it carefully, and only then slowly drew it from its sheath. A burst of brilliance emanated from the sword, like a lotus blooming from the water, elegant and pure. The carvings on the hilt moved like stars in the heavens, emitting a profound light. The sunlight on the blade blended naturally as if clear water flowed across a pond, calm and leisurely. The edge of the sword was like a sheer cliff, towering and majestic… After a long while, Xue Zhu, with a trembling voice, asked, “This is Chun Jun?!” Goujian nodded and said proudly, “Yes.” He continued, with pride, “Someone offered a thousand fine horses, three prosperous regions, and two large cities in exchange for this sword. Do you think it's worth it?” Xue Zhu quickly replied, “It cannot be exchanged.” Goujian deliberately frowned and asked, “Why? Explain your reasoning.” Xue Zhu, agitated, exclaimed loudly, “Because this sword is a singular creation forged by heaven and man together.”To forge this sword, tin emerged from the millennia-broken Chijin Mountain, and copper surfaced from the millennium-dried Ruoye River. When the sword was being forged, Thunder God hammered the iron, Rain Maiden sprinkled water, the dragon held the furnace, and the Heavenly Emperor arranged the charcoal. The master swordsmith Ou Yezi, by the decree of Heaven, poured his heart and soul along with other gods into forging and polishing for ten years, and only then was the sword completed. After the sword was completed, the gods returned to Heaven, Chijin Mountain closed as before, the waves of Ruoye River rose again, and Ou Yezi, exhausted of both strength and spirit, perished. This sword had become a final masterpiece; what are mere horses and city walls worth speaking of…”\Goujian nodded repeatedly in satisfaction: “Makes sense. Since it is a priceless treasure, I will keep it forever.”\The story is found in *Yuejueshu*.\Chunjun is an unparalleled and noble sword.\Sword Qi Emission Index: 7.5\Chapter 8: Yuchang\As a dark-iron-like great eagle sped towards the main hall, Zhuanzhu also walked up with the plum blossom phoenix fish skewer he cooked himself.\The sunlight blazed in the sky, and the eagle sped as before. Inside the main hall, armored guards were arrayed, and Zhuanzhu walked steadily forward.\The clouds were stunned by the eagle's momentum, scattering as they moved. King Liao smelled the aroma from Zhuanzhu's dish, lifted his nose, and leaned forward slightly, seeing only the dish and not Zhuanzhu.\The dish was called Plum Blossom Phoenix Fish Skewer: the plum blossom comes from the harsh winter, the phoenix fish is the Phoenix-tail Bream appearing only in the hot summer of Taihu Lake, and skewer refers to roasting the summer phoenix fish using branches of the winter plum.\The eagle had already seen the outline of the main hall; the sky suddenly darkened.\Zhuanzhu had reached King Liao and placed the dish on the table.\The lamps in the hall remained lit, dark clouds swirled in the sky, and the eagle had retracted its wings.\King Liao swallowed, looking at the delicious food in front of him. Zhuanzhu was steadily tearing the fish with his hands.\Accompanied by a clap of thunder, the eagle struck down on the hall. King Liao suddenly felt a sharp killing intent burst out from the fish's belly, leaving him stunned.\The Yuchang Sword had already been drawn (from the fish belly), resting steadily in Zhuanzhu's hand, moving swiftly forward. Two trained iron halberds crossed in front to block, but the Yuchang Sword passed through the gap, still moving rapidly. Three layers of Suanni armor stood before it. It penetrated the first layer, the second, and upon penetrating the third, the Yuchang Sword realized it had become a broken sword.\Although the sword was broken, the killing intent remained; the Yuchang Sword continued moving forward.\As the eagle shattered the main hall, the Yuchang Sword also pierced King Liao's heart. As the injured eagle fell, it let out a satisfied whistle. The half-broken Yuchang Sword hummed a silent song in Wang Liao's gradually weakening heartbeat.\Zhuan Zhu, struck down by the rain of swords and blades, with his last ounce of strength, turned to the land beneath his face and gave a lonely smile.\“…Zhuan Zhu's assassination of Wang Liao, like a flying eagle striking the hall…” found in Sima Qian's Records of the Grand Historian, Biography of Assassins.\The Yuchang Sword is a sword of unparalleled bravery.\Sword Qi Blast Index: 8\Seventh, Sixth: Gan Jiang and Mo Ye\Gan Jiang and Mo Ye are two swords, but no one can separate them. Gan Jiang and Mo Ye are two people, and similarly, no one can separate them.\Gan Jiang and Mo Ye are two swords forged by Gan Jiang and Mo Ye. Gan Jiang is the male sword, Mo Ye is the female sword. Gan Jiang is the husband, Mo Ye is the wife. Gan Jiang is diligent, Mo Ye is gentle.\When Gan Jiang was forging the sword for the King of Wu, Mo Ye fanned him and wiped his sweat.\Three months passed, Gan Jiang sighed, and tears flowed from Mo Ye as well.\Mo Ye knew why Gan Jiang sighed, because the refined gold and iron from the Five Mountains and Six Directions in the furnace could not melt; without melting the iron essence, the sword could not be forged. Gan Jiang also knew why Mo Ye wept, because if the sword could not be forged, he would be killed by the King of Wu.\One night, however, Mo Ye suddenly laughed.\Seeing Mo Ye laugh, Gan Jiang felt a sudden fear; he knew why Mo Ye was laughing and said to her, “Mo Ye, whatever you do, do not do it.”\Mo Ye said nothing; she only smiled.\When Gan Jiang awoke, he found Mo Ye was not beside him; it felt like a thousand arrows piercing his heart. He knew where Mo Ye was.\Mo Ye stood on the towering wall of the sword-forging furnace, her skirt fluttering like a fairy, seeing Gan Jiang's figure rushing from afar in the dim morning light. She laughed, and she heard Gan Jiang's hoarse shout: “Mo Ye…”\Mo Ye continued to smile, but tears streamed down at the same time. Gan Jiang also shed tears, and through the blurred vision, he saw Mo Ye floating down, hearing Mo Ye finally say to him: “Gan Jiang, I am not dead; we will be together…”\The molten iron melted, and the sword was successfully forged. One male, one female, named Gan Jiang and Mo Ye.\Gan Jiang only presented “Gan Jiang” to the King of Wu.\News that Gan Jiang secretly kept “Mo Ye” soon reached the King of Wu; warriors surrounded Gan Jiang. Gan Jiang surrendered, opened the sword box, and, in despair, asked inside: “Mo Ye, how can we be together?”\The sword suddenly leapt from the box, transforming into a pure white dragon, soaring away.At the same time, Gan Jiang also suddenly disappeared without a trace. When Gan Jiang vanished, the 'Gan Jiang' sword beside King Wu was also missing. Meanwhile, in the desolate and poor Pingcheng County, a young white dragon suddenly appeared in a large lake called Yanping Jin (Yanping Lake).
This white dragon was beautiful and kind, bringing wind and rain for the people. Gradually, the desolate Pingcheng County experienced favorable weather and abundant harvests, and the county's name was changed from Pingcheng (Poor City) to Fengcheng (Prosperous City).
However, the local people often noticed that the white dragon almost every day would gaze over the surface of Yanping Jin, as if waiting for something. Some even saw that its eyes often held tears.
Six hundred years passed. By chance, during the construction of the city walls, Fengcheng County magistrate Lei Huan unearthed a stone box from underground. Inside was a sword, on which the characters 'Gan Jiang' were clearly engraved.
Lei Huan was extremely delighted and carried this long-celebrated sword with him.
One day, Lei Huan was passing by the shore of Yanping Jin Lake when the sword at his waist suddenly jumped from its scabbard into the water.
Startled, Lei Huan watched as the water surged, and a pair of black and white dragons leapt out. The two dragons repeatedly nodded to Lei Huan, seeming to express gratitude. Then the dragons intertwined their necks affectionately before plunging into the water and disappearing from sight.
The people who had lived for generations in Fengcheng County discovered that the white dragon, which had allegedly existed for over six hundred years and often gazed at Yanping Jin Lake with tears in its eyes, had suddenly vanished. The next day, however, an ordinary couple moved into the county. The husband was an excellent blacksmith with remarkable skill, but he only focused on forging ordinary farming tools that earned little money, refusing to make expensive weapons. While he worked, his young wife always fanned him and wiped his sweat.
Gan Jiang and Mo Ye are a pair of devoted swords.

Chapter 5: Seven-Star Dragon Abyss
This sword is said to have been forged jointly by the great swordsmiths Ou Yezi and Gan Jiang.
To forge this sword, Ou Yezi and Gan Jiang chiseled open Mount Ci, released the mountain streams, and directed the water into seven pools arranged in the shape of the Big Dipper beside the sword furnace, hence the name 'Seven Stars.'
After the sword was completed, looking down upon its blade was like standing atop a high mountain and gazing into an abyss—ethereal and profound, as if a giant dragon were coiled within. Hence, it was named 'Dragon Abyss.'
The craftsmanship of this sword was undoubtedly superb, but its fame also stemmed from an ordinary fisherman, whose real name no one could know: Elder Yu.It is said that Wu Zixu was harmed by treacherous ministers and fled for his life, being chased relentlessly by the soldiers of the State of Chu. One day, in his panic, he fled without direction and reached the banks of the Yangtze River, only to see the vast river, its waves endless. With a great body of water in front and pursuing soldiers behind, he was in extreme anxiety when he noticed a small boat rapidly approaching from upstream. On the boat, the fisherman repeatedly called for him to come aboard. After Wu Zixu got on the boat, it quickly disappeared into the reeds, leaving no trace, and the soldiers on the shore departed in frustration. The fisherman took Wu Zixu to the shore and brought him food and wine to eat his fill. Wu Zixu expressed endless gratitude and asked the fisherman's name. The fisherman laughed and said that he roamed the waves, and a name was unnecessary; Wu Zixu should just call him “Fisherman Elder.” Wu Zixu bowed in thanks and prepared to leave. After walking a few steps, he hesitated, then turned back and took from his waist the family heirloom sword passed down for three generations: Qixing Longyuan, intending to gift this priceless sword to the Fisherman Elder in gratitude, and also advised him not to reveal his whereabouts. The Fisherman Elder took the Qixing Longyuan sword, looked up to the sky, and sighed long. He said to Wu Zixu, “I only saved you because you are loyal to the state, expecting no reward. Yet you still doubt my integrity, suspecting greed. I can only show my purity with this sword.” After saying this, he placed the sword across his chest and stabbed himself. Wu Zixu was overwhelmed with grief and regret. Later, this sword was passed down to the Tang Dynasty and was renamed 'Longquan' to avoid the taboo of Emperor Gaozu Li Yuan's name. The story appears in "Annals of Wu and Yue." Qixing Longyuan is a sword symbolizing honesty and purity. Sword energy projection index: 8.8.
The Fourth: Tai'a (also written: Tai'e)
The capital of the State of Chu had been besieged by the armies of the State of Jin for three years. Jin sent troops to attack Chu, hoping to obtain Chu's national treasure: the Tai'a Sword. It is widely said that the Tai'a Sword was forged jointly by the two master swordsmiths Ou Yezi and Gan Jiang. However, the two masters did not think so; they said that the Tai'a Sword is a sword of the authority of princes, long already in existence, invisible and formless. Its sword energy had already existed in the world, waiting for the right time to condense: when heaven's timing, earth's geographic advantage, and human harmony converge, the sword will be formed. At that time, Jin was the most powerful state, and the King of Jin naturally thought he was most entitled to receive this treasure sword, but contrary to his wishes, it was forged in the weaker state of Chu. When the sword was drawn, its blade was indeed naturally inscribed with the two characters “Tai'a” in seal script, proving Ou Yezi's and Gan Jiang's words were true. The King of Jin could not accept this and demanded the sword from the King of Chu. The King of Chu refused, so the King of Jin sent troops to attack Chu, using the sword as a pretext to annihilate the state of Chu.\With a clear disparity in military strength, most cities of the State of Chu quickly fell, and the capital was completely besieged. Trapped for three years, the city ran out of provisions, weapons were depleted, and it was on the verge of disaster.\One day, the State of Jin sent an envoy, issuing a final ultimatum: if the sword is not handed over again, the city will be captured tomorrow, and all will be destroyed without distinction!\The King of Chu refused to submit and instructed his attendants that he would personally go to the city walls to fight the enemy the next day. If the city fell, he would use this sword to take his own life, and then his attendants were to retrieve the sword, ride swiftly to a great lake, and submerge the sword in its depths so that the Tai'a Sword would forever remain in Chu.\At dawn the next day, the King of Chu ascended the city wall, and outside he saw the armies of Jin covering the sky, darkening the sun. His capital was like a small boat in a vast ocean, constantly in danger of capsizing.\The Jin army began their assault; their shouting was like mountains moving and seas roaring, and the city's fall seemed imminent.\The King of Chu held the sword with both hands and sighed deeply: 'Tai'a Sword, Tai'a Sword, today I will offer you my own blood!' He then drew the sword and pointed it directly at the enemy.\An unbelievable miracle occurred: a massive surge of sword energy shot out, and sand and stones flew outside the city, blotting out the sky, as if a ferocious beast was roaring within. The Jin army fell into chaos, and moments later, banners collapsed, blood spilt for miles, and the entire army was annihilated...\After this event, the King of Chu summoned the wisest man in the country, Feng Huzi, and asked: 'Why does the Tai'a Sword have such power?'\Feng Huzi replied: 'The Tai'a Sword is a sword of might and virtue, but the true power lies in the heart. Your Majesty faced adversity with indomitable strength—that is a manifestation of inner might. It is your inner might that awakened the sword energy of the Tai'a Sword!'\From "Record of Yue".\The Tai'a Sword is a sword of might and virtue.\Sword energy discharge index: 9.3\Third: Chi Xiao\During the Qin dynasty, there was a young man who was useless and full of flaws.\He was lazy, never doing farm work at home. He loved alcohol, often getting drunk to a puddle of mud. He was lustful, unable to restrain himself when seeing beautiful girls. He was impolite, careless with officials and common people alike. Most aggravatingly, he liked to lie and boast.\He often showed people the seventy-two black moles on his left leg, claiming they were a celestial map, not a skin disease.\He often gazed toward Xianyang, shaking his head with a sigh: 'Alas, a true man should be like this!'\His lies became increasingly absurd.\He somehow acquired a rusted iron rod and told the villagers that it was a treasured sword obtained from an immortal on the southern mountains, called: Chi Xiao.He treasured it above all else, carrying the 'sword' with him all day.\He also said that he was not a human but a red dragon from heaven.\His boasting grew bigger and bigger.\He said that he had known Emperor Qin from the start, claiming that Emperor Qin was a white dragon. He also said that Emperor Qin was inferior to him because he was a red dragon with greater magical power, and that in the future he would replace him and become emperor himself.\He further said that he knew Emperor Qin's vital energy had transformed into a white snake, which had been roaming near Fengxi Marsh recently. He said he would slay this white snake, and as he spoke, he gestured with an iron rod he had found.\People treated his words as jokes and boasts, and no one believed him.\However, one night, everything changed.\That night, dozens of young people from the village, who usually went to the county to apprentice as workers, walked to Fengxi Marsh. This young man was also among them, but he wasn't going to work—he was just joining the fun, drinking from a flask as he walked.\When the group reached Fengxi Marsh, they stopped.\Strangely enough, recently, many apprentices heading to the county had mysteriously disappeared near Fengxi Marsh. So, to be safe, they sent a quick and agile young man ahead to scout.\After a while, the scout returned, terrified and pale, saying that after walking a bit, he smelled a faint stench ahead. He climbed a large tree to look and saw a huge, ferocious white snake blocking the road, as if waiting for something.\The crowd was shocked and dared not move forward.\At this moment, the young man separated from the others and walked forward, saying that the white snake was waiting for him, and that he would slay it. As he spoke, he drew the iron rod, staggering slightly. It seemed he had been drinking along the way and was now drunk.\People held their breath, watching his wobbly back as he walked away, thinking to themselves: 'This foolish boy…'\After a night passed, the young man still didn't return. People knew he must have become the snake's feast.\As clouds parted and the mist cleared, everyone continued forward.\After walking a while, they suddenly saw a huge white snake split in two and thrown by the roadside. A few miles further, they found the young man lying by the roadside, sound asleep. Above his body floated a cloud, and within it a red dragon lazily flew back and forth. The iron rod in his hands had disappeared, replaced by a treasured sword adorned with seven-colored pearls and Jiuhua jade, its cold gleam intimidating, and a blade as frosty as snow. On the sword, two seal script characters were clearly engraved: Chi Xiao.At this moment, everyone believed that the young man's words were true. This young man was Liu Bang, and this sword was the Chixiao Sword of the Snake-Slaying Uprising. The Chixiao Sword is a sword of imperial way. Sword Qi Emission Index: 9.7
Second: Zhanlu
Zhanlu is a sword, but more importantly, it is an eye. Zhanlu: profound and black. This long sword, entirely black and flawless, evokes not its sharpness but its breadth and benevolence. It is like a deep, discerning black eye of heaven, watching the every move of kings and princes. A capable ruler, with the sword by his side, brings national prosperity. An incapable ruler, with the sword abandoned, brings national ruin. The essence of five metals, the spirit of the sun, divine in its creation, awe-inspiring in its presence. When Ou Yezi forged this sword, he could not help but shed tears, because he had finally fulfilled his lifelong dream: to create a weapon that could break anything yet not carry even a hint of killing intent. It is said that after Zhanlu Sword was forged, it came into the possession of the King of Yue, later passing to King Goujian of Yue. After Goujian was defeated, he reluctantly presented the Zhanlu Sword as tribute to King Fuchai of Wu. Yet, the unjust King of Wu could not control it; the Zhanlu Sword left on its own and flew to the side of the famous contemporary ruler, the King of Chu. From then on, the Zhanlu Sword became a symbol of justice and virtue. As the saying goes, the benevolent are invincible; the Zhanlu Sword is truly a sword of benevolence. Sword Qi Emission Index: 10
First: Xuanyuan Xia Yu Sword
Forged from the copper of Shoushan by the Yellow Emperor and later passed to Xia Yu. Xuanyuan Xia Yu Sword! What more can we say about such a sword? The Yellow Emperor, Xia Yu! What more can we say about these two individuals? Courage, wisdom, benevolence… all summarized in two words: the Way of the Sage. The Xuanyuan Xia Yu Sword is a sword of the sage's path. Around 3000 BCE, the Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan sought to defeat the demon leader Chiyou, and with the gods, opened the mountains to extract the essence of heaven and earth to forge divine weapons to combat Chiyou. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned; although the sword body was naturally perfect, it lacked sword qi. With Chiyou's army about to invade the human realm, the Yellow Emperor used the uncompleted divine weapon to strike down Chiyou. Because the uncompleted sword had limited spiritual power and could not defeat Chiyou, the Yellow Emperor took five magical stones left by Nuwa during the repairing of the heavens, beheaded Chiyou, infused all of his own spiritual energy into the repair stones, sealing Chiyou in an underground labyrinth, and scattered the repair stones, which had already absorbed Chiyou's soul, across the human realm. Eventually, the divine weapon forged by the Yellow Emperor fell into the hands of Xia Yu.After a century of weathering, mysterious patterns appeared on the originally bare blade: one side of the blade is engraved with the sun, moon, and stars, while the other side is carved with mountains, rivers, and plants. One side of the hilt records the techniques of farming and animal husbandry, while the other side records the strategies for unifying the world. With the sword in Yu the Great's hand, humanity under his governance gradually learned farming, animal husbandry, and moral principles. After Yu the Great passed away, people named this sword——Xuanyuan Yu Sword. Sword energy projection index: infinite.
