The publisher of 'EVE' is collaborating with an Icelandic film production company to launch an 'EVE'-themed TV series, with the storyline based on real stories left by 'EVE' players in the game world.
Director Baltasar Kormákur, who directed last year's 'Cargo' and is currently directing 'Twisters' starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg, which will be released this August, is at the helm. CCP stated that the TV series will be broadcast globally and will tell stories from the EVE universe.
Kormákur said, 'The universe of EVE is full of bizarre stories and epic battles, survival-of-the-fittest plundering, and political scheming. All of this is a perfect subject for a TV series.' Well, as for anything else, it's unknown, but when it comes to survival-of-the-fittest plundering, he understands it very well.
The publisher and release date have not yet been announced.
