China.com, May 6 — According to the website of South Korea's Chosun Ilbo on May 6, at 10:43 p.m. local time on the 5th of this month, Kim (32) self-harmed his genitals in front of Exit 3 of Dongdaegu Station in Sinam-dong, Dong District, Daegu, South Korea, because he refused to have children. The South Korean police stated on the 6th, "On that day, Kim held a weapon and cut his genitals in the square in front of Exit 3 of Dongdaegu Station, then carried his organs into the subway station attempting to leave."

It is reported that after entering Dongdaegu Station, Kim sought help in desperation and was discovered by subway staff. After receiving an emergency call, the 119 rescue team immediately dispatched and sent him to a nearby hospital for treatment. He is currently not in life-threatening condition.

During the police investigation, Kim stated, "Because I had bad experiences in my childhood, I harmed my genitals to avoid having children." A police official said, "Although Kim was bleeding heavily when discovered, he did not lose consciousness during transport to the hospital."
