The most touching love story I have ever heard is about a couple. The girl was beautiful, very considerate, and occasionally came up with mischievous ideas to tease the boy. The boy was very smart and sensible, and most importantly, he had a strong sense of humor. He could always find ways to make the girl laugh during their time together. The girl really liked the boy's optimistic outlook on life.
They had been getting along well for a long time. The girl's feelings for the boy were gentle; she said the boy was like family to her.
The boy loved the girl deeply and cared about her immensely. So whenever they had an argument, the boy would always say it was his fault, even when it wasn't really his mistake. He just didn't want the girl to be upset.
Five years passed like this, and the boy still loved the girl as much as he did in the beginning.
One weekend, the girl went out on some errands. The boy originally planned to visit her, but when he heard she was busy, he gave up the idea. He stayed home all day and didn't contact the girl, thinking she was busy and he shouldn't bother her.
Little did he know, the girl was thinking of him while she was busy. But after not hearing from him all day, she became very angry. When she got home at night, she sent a message to the boy with very harsh words, even mentioning breaking up. It was around midnight.
The boy was extremely anxious and urgently called the girl's phone, three times in a row, but she hung up each time. He called her home phone, but there was no answer. He guessed she might have unplugged the phone line. The boy grabbed his clothes and rushed out; he was going to her house. It was 12:25 AM.
At 12:40 AM, the girl received another call from the boy's phone, but she hung up again.
There was no further communication that night. The boy did not call her again.
The next day, the girl received a call from the boy's mother, who was in tears. The boy had had a car accident the previous night. The police said the car was going too fast, the brakes couldn't stop in time, and it crashed into a large truck that had broken down on the road. When the ambulance arrived, he had already passed away.
The girl was in so much pain that she couldn't even cry, but it was too late for regrets. She could only recall the joy and happiness the boy had brought her through bits of memories.
The girl, holding back her grief, went to the accident site, wanting to see the last place the boy had been. The car was completely wrecked. There were still bloodstains on the steering wheel and dashboard.
The boy's mother gave the girl the items the boy had been carrying: his wallet, watch, and the phone covered in his blood. When the girl opened the wallet, there was a photo of her inside, with most of the photo soaked in his blood. When the girl picked up the boy's watch, she was shocked to find that the hands of the watch had stopped at around 12:35. The girl immediately understood that the boy had, with his last ounce of strength, tried to call her after the accident, but she didn't answer because she was still upset. The boy no longer had the strength to dial a second time; he left with endless affection and guilt for her. The girl would never know what the last words the boy wanted to say to her were. She also understood that no one would ever love her more than this boy.
