According to the official website of Weekly Shonen Jump, the popular manga "One Piece" author Eiichiro Oda was hospitalized due to a "peritonsillar abscess," and as a result, the manga "One Piece" will take a two-week hiatus. It is expected to resume serialization in WJ Issue 28, scheduled for release on June 10.
The specific two issues of "One Piece" that will be on hiatus are WJ Issue 26, scheduled for release on May 27, and WJ Issue 27, scheduled for release on June 3. Additionally, the official website noted that due to a printing error, the hiatus notice in WJ Issue 26 listed Oda's illness as "tonsillitis," whereas the correct medical term is "peritonsillar abscess," also known as "peritonsillitis."
This is the second time this year that Oda has taken a break due to illness, after a previous hiatus in March, once again raising concerns about Oda's health.
Prayers for Oda-sensei..
