It has been 56 years since the victory in China's War of Resistance Against Japan ended. As one of the two major sources of World War II, Japan committed heinous crimes during the war, bringing deep disaster to the Chinese people, causing over 35 million military and civilian casualties and economic losses exceeding 600 billion US dollars. However, for more than half a century, Japan's right-wing forces have not reflected deeply on their actions but have continuously awakened militarism and reversed the charges of aggression. Recently, incidents involving history textbooks and Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's visit to Yasukuni Shrine have occurred one after another, which inevitably provokes strong outrage among the Chinese people and a painful reflection on the national tragedy of the past.
The heartbreaking massacre
The Japanese invaders' brutal slaughter of the Chinese people accompanied the entire process of the war of aggression against China. As early as 1931, shortly after the "September 18th Incident," the Japanese army buried more than 200 Chinese prisoners alive in Changchun; In November, they killed hundreds of wounded soldiers from Ma Zhanshan's forces in Qiqihar; In September 1932, they committed the Pingdingshan Massacre near Fushun, massacred over 3,000 villagers, with only one person alive.
The largest massacre in the history of Japanese invasion of China occurred in Nanjing. After capturing Nanjing on December 13, 1937, the Japanese army under Matsui Iwane committed brutal killings, staining the ancient city with blood, massacring over 300,000 Nanjing citizens and soldiers who laid down their arms, and burning one-third of streets and buildings; At the same time, they committed about 20,000 rapes and carried out large-scale looting. The brutality and barbarity of the Japanese army were truly shocking and heinous. In the bloody "sweep" of the anti-Japanese base areas, the Japanese invaders implemented the brutal "Three Alls" policy, committing countless blood debts. Statistics show that from 1937 to 1945, in just the seven anti-Japanese base areas of Jin-Sui, Jin-Cha-Ji, Ji-Re-Liao, Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu, Shandong, Jiangsu-Anhui, and Central Plains, 3.18 million Chinese soldiers and civilians were killed by the Japanese army. "Heinous biological and chemical warfare" During the war of aggression against China, Japan openly violated international law by developing and using biological weapons in China, conducting biological warfare and massacring Chinese people. The notorious "Unit 731" and "Unit 100" and other biological warfare units numbered over 20,000 personnel. They also performed live dissections on test subjects. Each year, 400–600 people were used for the experiments. According to incomplete statistics, from 1939 to August 1945, "Unit 731" killed at least 3,000 people.Starting in the second half of 1940, the Japanese army invading China began to extensively use biological weapons, including highly infectious, rapidly spreading, and highly lethal bacteria such as cholera, typhoid, plague, and anthrax, as well as bacteria causing diphtheria and dysentery. The areas where the Japanese carried out biological warfare covered North China, Central China, and Chongqing, killing hundreds of thousands of Chinese soldiers and innocent civilians. Besides using biological weapons, Japan also employed chemical weapons from the very beginning of the invasion of China. The Japanese army released poison gas in Chinese residential areas and poisoned wells and rivers. According to incomplete statistics, during the war of aggression against China, the Japanese army used chemical weapons over 2,000 times, in 18 provinces and regions across China, causing more than 90,000 casualties among Chinese military and civilians. When Japan surrendered, over 2 million chemical shells were still abandoned across China, leaving serious harm and hidden dangers for local residents.
Ruthless Economic Plunder
Economic plunder was one of the fundamental reasons for Japan's aggressive war and a main component of Japan's strategy of "using war to sustain war." Japan's economic looting of China mainly included the following aspects:
First, forcibly requisitioning grain and raw materials to supply frontline Japanese troops or transport back to Japan. In Northeast China, Japan forcibly purchased and sold grain, compelling farmers to sell most of their produce at the minimum purchase prices set by the puppet government. In inland regions, the Japanese army effectively plundered military grain. In 1939 alone, Japan transported 700 million liters of rice from Central China, rising to over 900 million liters in 1940. In addition, Japan also extensively looted China's mineral resources.
Second, monopolizing industry, agriculture, transportation, and trade, conducting capital export. In May 1937, Japan, through the puppet Manchukuo government, promulgated the “Important Industry Control Law,” placing 21 types of industrial products under Japanese control.
Third, controlling finance, issuing a large amount of paper currency, and extracting wealth from occupied areas. Japan issued large amounts of pseudo-Manchurian yuan in Northeast China. In inland regions, from November 1937 to January 1941, Japan set up the puppet “Mengjiang Bank” in Zhangjiakou, the “China United Reserve Bank” in Beijing, the “Huaxing Bank” in Shanghai, and the “Central Reserve Bank” in Nanjing. Relying on Japanese military force, they issued large amounts of worthless fiat money to extract the blood and wealth of the Chinese people.
Fourth, capturing Chinese laborers to serve the Japanese militarism like beasts of burden. According to incomplete statistics, by 1944, Japan had forcibly recruited 3 million laborers in Northeast China, 29% of whom were mistreated to death. It is especially important to note that during Japan's war of aggression against China, countless Chinese women were forcibly conscripted by the Japanese army as "comfort women," suffering inhumane abuse.
The heinous crimes committed by Japanese militarism against the Chinese people go far beyond these. The peoples of both China and Japan must continuously expose the aggression committed by Japanese militarism, oppose any wrongful acts that cover up or distort history, correct the international narrative, ensure that those who experienced World War II do not forget the past, enable the new generation to understand the truth of history, and tirelessly strive for the greater good of human peace and development.
An incident that occurred during the Japanese occupation of Northeast China, in which the Japanese massacre more than 3,000 villagers in Pingdingshan, Fushun, and nearby villages
The Nanjing Massacre refers to the large-scale massacre, looting, and rape of Chinese civilians and prisoners of war in the urban and suburban areas of Nanjing for six weeks during World War II, after the Japanese army captured Nanjing on December 13, 1937. On December 13, 1937, the Japanese army occupied Nanjing. Under the command of fascists such as Matsui Iwane, commander of the Central China Area Army, and the 6th Division Division, the Nanjing Massacre, they carried out a brutal massacre of the unarmed Nanjing civilians for six weeks.
Large-scale mass massacre
About 50,000 troops entered the city, but only 17 military police maintained military discipline. The Japanese army, besides killing Nanjing residents at will on individual or small scales, carried out several large-scale "mass massacres" of Chinese people, especially disarmed military and police personnel. The large-scale massacres included machine gun shooting and mass burial, with extremely brutal methods. December 15 (the third day of Japanese occupation): Over 3,000 Chinese military and police personnel who had laid down their arms were collectively taken outside Hanzhong Gate to be subjected to intense machine gun fire, many dying on the spot. The wounded but not dead were also burned like the bodies of the dead. At night, more than 9,000 Chinese civilians and disarmed Chinese soldiers sent to the torpedo battalion were massacred by the Japanese. More than 30,000 people were massacred near Baota Bridge. 200 people were shot near the air-raid shelter on Zhongshan North Road. December 16 (the fourth day after Japanese occupation): Over 5,000 Chinese male and female refugees hiding in the overseas Chinese guesthouse in the Nanjing Safety Zone were collectively escorted by the Japanese army to Zhongshan Wharf, their hands bound behind their backs and lined up. After being killed by machine guns, the Japanese disposed of their bodies in the Yangtze River to destroy the evidence.Of the more than 5,000 people, only Bai Zengrong and Liang Tingfang swam to the opposite bank after being wounded by gunfire and escaped death. The Japanese massacre over 400 people at Sitiao Alley and over 100 at Yinyang Camp. December 17 (5th day of Japanese occupation): Over 3,000 Chinese civilians were collectively shot by the Japanese at the riverbank downstream of Coal Port. Over 400 Chinese refugees seeking refuge at Fangsheng Temple and orphanages were collectively shot. On the night of December 18 (the 6th day after Japanese occupation), at Caoxie Gorge in Xiaguan. The Japanese army rescued 57,418 Chinese refugees, men, women, and children, who had been held in Makufu Mountain, from Nanjing. Except for a few who had starved or been beaten to death, they were all bound with lead wire and gathered at Caoxie Gorge in Xiaguan, where they were intensively fired with machine guns, and those lying in pools of blood who could still groan and struggle were slaughtered with indiscriminate knives. Afterwards, all corpses were burned with kerosene to destroy the evidence. In this massacre, only Wu Changde survived the burn and escaped. In the Dafang Lane refugee area, the Japanese army shot and killed over 4,000 people.
Killing Competition
On December 13, 1937, the Tokyo Nichinichi Shimbun (now Mainichi Shimbun) reported on a "killing contest" involving two Japanese officers. Encouraged by their superiors, two second lieutenants from the Japanese 16th Division's Nakajima unit, Mukai Toshiaki and Noda Takeshi, agreed to a "killing contest" to determine who would kill 100 men first during the occupation of Nanjing. They fought from Jurong to Tangshan; Mukai Toshiaki killed 89, Noda Tsuyoshi 78, and since neither had 100, the "competition" continued. At noon on December 10, the two met at the foot of Purple Mountain, each with their swords chipped and chipped. Noda killed 105, Mukai killed 106. Since it was unclear who would reach 100 first, it was decided that the competition would be tied to a new contest to see who could kill 150 Chinese. These atrocities were continuously featured in newspapers with both text and images, earning them the title "Heroes of the Imperial Army." After Japan's surrender, these two war criminals were finally executed by firing squad in Nanjing on charges of jointly and continuously massacring prisoners and non-combatants during the war, "truly human traitors and enemies of civilization." According to the Nanjing Military Tribunal in February 1946: 28 cases of mass massacres by Japanese troops involving 190,000 people, and 858 cases of scattered massacres involving 150,000 people. The Japanese army carried out a massacre in Nanjing lasting six weeks, with more than 300,000 Chinese soldiers and civilians shot or buried alive.Panjiayu is a mountain village in the Belt Mountains of Fengrun County, Hebei Province (now Fengrun District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province). On July 7, 1937, the Japanese imperialists launched the Marco Polo Bridge Incident. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and Comrade Mao Zedong, our Eighth Route Army advanced behind enemy lines to the North China battlefield, vigorously mobilized the masses, established anti-Japanese base areas, and widely carried out people's war. Panjiayu became an anti-Japanese fortress village and the hub of the anti-Japanese base area in eastern Hebei.
The anti-Japanese struggle of the people of Panjiayu greatly enraged the Japanese invaders. Facing Panjiayu, an anti-Japanese fortress that could not be broken or captured, they were in constant panic, determined to destroy it at all costs, insanely intending to annihilate all the people of Panjiayu.
The Chongqing Bombing refers to the strategic bombing carried out by Japan on the wartime Chinese provisional capital Chongqing during the Chinese War of Resistance against Japan, lasting for five and a half years from February 18, 1938, to August 23, 1943. According to incomplete statistics, during these five years, Japan bombed Chongqing 218 times, deploying over 9,000 aircraft and dropping more than 11,500 bombs. More than 10,000 people died in the bombings, over 17,600 buildings were destroyed, and most of the prosperous areas in the city were damaged. The Japanese air raids on Chongqing were, after Germany's bombing of civilians in Guernica during the Spanish Civil War in April 1937, among the earliest instances of strategic bombing in history. Its purpose was to crush the opponent's morale through mass civilian casualties.
If the roles were reversed at that time, Japan being the weak country and China being the strong one, it would naturally mean that China would be capitalist. Capitalists only care about money, not humanitarianism. In that case, Japan would have suffered even more than modern China. In modern times, the general quality of Chinese people is relatively low, and there is also educational discrimination. Almost every place has corrupt officials. In contrast, in Japan, people greet each other when they meet, are hospitable, and transportation runs smoothly, among other things. Japan itself is not wrong; what is wrong are the fascists and far-right elements. Do not completely deny Japan because of fascists and right-wing elements.

(13-06-06 08:35) Disciplinary Committee Member @Fujiwara Yuu (ID:15598)\ Found it online... Actually, it's not surprising, Fujiwara Yuu. Japan's military is indeed advanced, and the U.S. is also involved. Chinese people are not united. They do not plan for potential danger while enjoying peace; they cannot hold on. Once China falls, Russia will be in danger. If Russia falls, North Korea will become worse...
Men as laborers, women as comfort women, those who change nationality to Japanese live an ordinary life...
Soldiers, die in battle!
Sorry, it's just the news. Sorry for disturbing you.

I would rather die than be a slave of a fallen nation.
Yes, nowadays many Chinese people don't study history; they know nothing
Some people see the beautiful side of Japan, but only see the dark side of their own country; it's truly tragic.
Comrade!
Heartfelt voice!
Japanese people who have not witnessed World War II truly do not know what atrocities are!
Japanese fascists are indeed detestable.

I don't understand why you guys hate Japan. Is it just because they waged a war? But which country's people want war? That was just the decision of their government. The Japanese people are innocent!! I think back then it wasn't just Japan, Britain and America were the same. What fault do the people have!
I support the anti-Japanese faction. As for those pro-Japanese, if it had been you living in that period, what would you have done? Hmph! Ridiculous.
