1. Flashing the phone to enter recovery mode
After turning off the phone, press the Volume Up button + Power button. When the green screen appears, release them (enter AP mode), then the screen will go black.
Then insert the USB cable. At this point, the PC will prompt to install the driver. Find the driver in the unzipped folder and install it.
(After the driver is successfully installed, under the “Device Manager” in the “Universal Serial Bus controllers” node, you will see “NVDIA USB Boot-recovery driver for Mobile devices.”)
(If a WINDOWS security prompt appears, please choose to always install this driver software!)
This driver is located in the usbdriver directory inside the nvflash.rar package.
After installing the driver, unzip the nvflash.rar package. With the phone in AP mode, remember to place the downloaded recovery.img into the directory where nvflash.rar was unzipped.
In the DOS command line, enter the following command to flash recovery into the phone:
nvflash --bl bootloader.bin --download 6 recovery.img
For those unfamiliar with DOS commands, you can also edit the “flash boot.bat” in the toolkit. Delete the original content, then copy the command line above into it. Save, exit, and double-click to run it.
The purpose of flashing recovery: it allows you to install third-party ROM packages via flash.
After flashing recovery, you need to disconnect the battery.
