PC games before 2005 mostly required how high specifications? Would a typical computer have trouble running games like GTA: San Andreas or Splinter Cell 3?

Uh, it's hard to say. My home computer is just an ordinary lower-mid range one, and playing Call of Duty on the lowest graphics settings is still pretty smooth.
Four thousand to settle… There's a discount season on Taobao, go take a look.
Two thousand is enough... I can afford it.
Eh... speaking of which, you're not playing other games anymore? Have you tried PlanetSide... on a computer under ten thousand, no matter how you play, it will always lag.
Two thousand is enough, but that doesn't include the mouse, keyboard, or monitor.
It's best to have a computer around 4,000, capable of running large games of 20–25GB without pressure, though some high-end games might lag a bit.
GTA 5 is coming out. Make up your mind to buy a 7000-level computer to play GTA 5 with all settings maxed out.
Saints Andreas can't really run on a low-end computer, it's like a slideshow.
What system? XP?
