The Bochs open-source project has recently launched an APK client for the Android platform, which allows phones to easily run Windows 95/98/XP, and even Linux systems. Bochs is an open-source emulator for the x86 hardware platform. It can emulate various hardware configurations. Bochs simulates the entire PC platform, including I/O devices, memory, and BIOS. Interestingly, it is even possible to run Bochs without PC hardware. In fact, it can emulate x86 hardware on any platform where Bochs can be compiled and run. By changing configurations, you can specify the CPU used (386, 486, or 586), as well as the memory size, and more. In short, Bochs is a "PC inside a computer." If needed, Bochs can also emulate multiple PCs, and it even has its own power button. ----System Requirements-------- CPU: 1GHz or higher ROM: 520MB or more Resolution: 320*480 or higher Android version: 2.1 or above Things you need to prepare: 1. Download the Windows virtual machine, unzip it, install the APK file, and then put the entire SDL folder in the root directory of the SD card. 2. Download the XP image and unzip it. Place the extracted "c.img" file into the SDL folder (the SDL folder placed in the root directory in step 1) (apparently, you can also rename the downloaded compressed file to c.img directly, but I didn't try it; I unzipped it, and the extracted size is about 1.46GB. It's best to unzip it on a computer, as unzipping on a phone may cause errors). The above is the foolproof method; the following is the DIY method for a smoother experience. For beginners, please ignore:
1: Download the 'main program and configuration files'. After decompressing, you will get two folders, SDL and HDD, and the Bochs main program. Install the main program and move the two folders to the root directory of the SD card (same as above).
2: Choose a disk image compressed package and move the decompressed andows.img image file to the SDL folder. (Here, four image files are provided: win95, win98, winXP, and winXP expanded version. The winXP expanded version has been modified, and the C drive has 1GB of available space, which is enough to install some software.)
Modify the virtual machine configuration:
3: Open and modify the bochsrc.txt document in the SDL folder.
- megs: 64 – This is the running memory allocated to Windows. The default is 64. Adjust according to your actual situation. For example, if the remaining memory on your phone is 200, changing it to megs: 150 is optimal. Do not set it too high, as emulating the X86 architecture also consumes a significant amount of memory.
- cpu: count=1 – This is the number of CPU cores. Adjust according to your situation (for small phones, you can change it to 4).
- ips=9000000 – This is the CPU frequency (9MHz). You can change it to 600000000. If there are issues, remove a zero or revert it to the original value.
4: The HDD folder acts as local disk D. If you want to install software or use Windows to handle files, putting them here will allow you to see them when starting Windows. D drive has 500MB space; do not exceed this when installing things.
5: Start the Bochs main program. If there are no problems, you can access the system.
System operation methods:
- Volume + is the left mouse button.
- Volume - is the right mouse button.
- Sliding on the touchscreen moves the mouse.
- Touch the lower left area to bring up the keyboard.
If an unknown error occurs, you can switch to another SDL emulator or image. The usage is the same.
- The image file name is either andows.img or c.img.

Install the XP system on an Android phone. Play CF and run Q-fei.

So complicated...
I tried it myself earlier, it perfectly loads and then crashes.
Crash...
The mirrored mode is so laggy that even Mario can't handle it.
Do you think you can play CF without a keyboard?
...Just passing by, only playing single-player now...
