I think gangster novels are the product of authors' fantasies... When reality is unsatisfactory, they write these fantasies into novels, seeing themselves as the protagonist in the story, being powerful in every way... Alright, it's just a complaint, no other meaning, don't attack me if you don't like it.
So, what are you looking at? The underworld novels I've read include 'Supreme Young Master,' 'Campus Wild Young Master,' 'Legend of the Golden-Scaled Dragon,' 'Rebirth of YY World' (this one is a bit explicit). Not bad, but I haven't read much of this type of book.
