Modify key values with one-click operation, very convenient. However, many people don't know how to use it, so now I will write down how to modify key values using KavaEngine. …………………………………… First, explain the operation process and then briefly the principle.

1. Example: Change the value of the left and right soft keys (the two keys at the top left and top right of the keyboard, generally corresponding to the functions 'Options' and 'Back') from -21, -22 to -6, -7. Changing to other values is the same.

Operation process:

1. Download key value testing software: getkey.jar (of course, there are many other programs that can test keys) and run it.

2. Test key values: After running the software, press the keys. The key values you pressed will appear on the screen. Record all these numbers and then exit the key testing software.

3. Change key values:
(1) Run KavaEngine, Menu > Browse Files, select the file you want to process;
(2) Select the middle option: Key Value Settings, choose 'Enable Conversion', leave other options unchanged;
(3) There are two text boxes below:

Local Key Values: -7%-6%-5%-4%-3%-2%-1%49%50%51%52%53%54%55%56%57%48%42%35%0%0%0%0%0%0
Program Key Values: -22%-21%-20%-5%-2%-6%-1%49%50%51%52%53%54%55%56%57%48%42%35%0%0%0%0%0%0

Note: The key values in these two boxes are default and may be different from yours. The '%' serves as a separator.
When the program processes the software, it will convert the key values in 'Local Key Values' to the ones in 'Program Key Values'.
For example, with the default numbers, the result is: -7 is converted to -22; -6 is converted to -21; -5 is converted to -22…

The values in the text box correspond to keys as follows: Right soft key % Left soft key % OK key % Right % Left % Down % Up % 1 % 2 % 3 % 4 % 5 % 6 % 7 % 8 % 9 % 0 % * % # %, other 0 values are useless.
Fill in the key values you just tested in the first input box in this order, making sure not to remove the % signs.

Now we want to change the original -21, -22 to -6, -7, so fill in:
Program Key Values: -22%-21%… (Since only the left and right soft keys need to be changed, the rest stays the same as the earlier text box, so just fill the remaining values the same as above.)

(4) After filling, select 'Start Conversion', wait for it to finish, exit the software, find the processed software, the processed software name will have '-kava' at the end.

With that, the key value conversion is complete. Test it. The method to change to other values is the same; adjust the data according to your actual needs.Some people might not understand, but it's okay. I believe a normal person can understand it after careful thinking multiple times.
