The consequence was defined as being 'disloyal to the Emperor,' which was an enormous insult to them. Their 'self-esteem' would not allow the deep imprint of 'Emperor above all' in their souls to continue existing within the 'Yamato people.' There was no way around it; it was equivalent to an unmarried woman having her virtue taken by a villain. Our 'Empire's elites' could only die 'in the way of the samurai.'
The dignity that others earn with their lives is not something we can talk much about. Cherish life, stay away from drugs.
