The key is the refrigerator. The boss was killed by the ice blade. After the subordinate killed the boss with the ice blade, he placed the ice blade under the bed. The ice melted due to the heater, turning into water. Then the subordinate turned off the heater, so the blood that had turned into ice reappeared. This is how the subordinate killed the boss.
