Just having a router is not enough; you also need to connect a computer to set up the router. Once it's set up, it will work.

Only a wireless router will work. Plug the network cable into the wireless router, turn on the wireless router, connect your phone to the Wi-Fi, enter 192.168.1.1 in the browser, enter the username and password, and you can access the wireless router settings. After setting it up, you can connect to the internet.
You can set the password by entering 192.168.1.1 in the browser. My home installed a wireless router and never used a computer.
