Love is a simple flower
There was once a TV matchmaking show where the host asked the male guests on site what their ideal partner was like.\ The first person said they should be young, beautiful, and have a good figure, so beautiful that they looked like a painting.\ The second person said they didn't need to be very beautiful, but they had to be at least 1.65 meters tall and have some knowledge of music, chess, calligraphy, and painting.\ The third said that average looks and figure were fine, but they needed to be educated, preferably with a bachelor's degree, because he couldn't have a conversation with someone who had just graduated from middle school.\ The fourth person said that anything average was okay, as long as they were gentle, like water, or like a Japanese woman.\ When it was the last person's turn, he thought for a moment and said that he had no specific requirements, only that if he felt she was the person destined to appear in his life, the one he was meant to love, he would choose her. Because love shouldn't have too much imagination or conditions; love is just a simple flower. It should be real, like our everyday talking, drinking water, and eating. So, as long as he felt this girl was the one he should love, he didn't need any conditions.\ His speech won loud applause from the audience. In that TV matchmaking show, he was chosen as the most popular man, and in the end, he was the only one who successfully matched. Seeing the girl's happy smile, I knew that happiness was already with them.\ Actually, many things are just like this. Don't make them too complicated; love is the same. It should just be a simple flower, blooming in the wild, natural and beautiful. Wearing it, you can roam to the ends of the earth. If you add many requirements and annotations to love, then it is no longer pure love.\ There was once a boy and a girl who loved each other deeply, but at that time, the boy had nothing to offer the girl but love. To give the girl a stable future, the boy left her to venture into the world. Ten years passed, the boy became a wealthy man but permanently lost the girl. The girl said, "I would rather keep a life of poverty and love with you than have everything I have now." Love should be like air and water; possessing it means possessing the treasures of the world, something that cannot be exchanged. It can make our days fulfilled and rich, filling our ordinary lives with brilliance. Without it, even possessing all the treasure in the world is useless—it is just a pile of goods.\ So, understand love simply. It is just the simplest flower blooming in the heart. If you insist on adding any embellishments, you only make this flower more false. The more you add, the uglier it becomes, until it is unrecognizable and has no trace of love. Therefore, to let it go with you to the ends of the earth, let it just be a simple flower.\ (Written by Hong Lian)
