Recently, our class is holding a composition competition with open-ended topics. One of the questions is Google vs Baidu—who will have the last laugh? Everyone, tell me your personal opinions on these two search engines. The more viewpoints, the better... It would be best if the insights are somewhat unique.

When I was young, I really liked Google and thought the name was very 'meaningful.' At some point, Baidu squeezed Google out of its position and appeared in my sight. I heard that Baidu focuses on domestic matters while Google focuses on international matters.
Are these two even comparable at all? It's like comparing Weibo with Facebook, weak by far. Google is absolutely not as simple as you think.

They are indeed not on the same level. Google mainly focuses outward, while Baidu focuses domestically. However, within China, Baidu still pushed Google out. Baidu can only operate domestically; abroad, it is basically non-existent. Who asked for the essay topic to be this…
It depends on which country it is. If it is in our China, Baidu will definitely have the last laugh. But in other countries, it's hard to say. However, Google is not a good thing either; it may be controlled by the US government.
The viewpoint should be unique, okay, um... Can Baidu laugh last? Because Baidu's logo looks better?
