The issue of military service
When I was getting a haircut today, the barber asked me how old I was. I told him my age, and he said I should serve in the army. I asked why I had to serve; don't we have the right to personal freedom? We live for ourselves, not for the country. In short, I just can't understand it. I have the right to freedom, but serving in the army restricts it. Could it be that the country's laws conflict with each other???

What's there to be afraid of... if you want to join the military, you also need to consider your physical condition. For instance, being nearsighted doesn't meet the requirements; besides, the country probably isn't in such urgent need of soldiers yet. Maybe that master was just joking with you.
