The new third-person shooter by MADFINGER Games, "SHADOWGUN," has been in development for several months from the initial production of the game to its official release. This game, made with the Unity engine, has attracted a lot of attention due to its astonishing graphical performance on the quad-core Kal-El processor platform.
As a cross-platform game, "SHADOWGUN" also has a satisfactory graphical performance on Android. While the graphics in "SHADOWGUN" are impressive, MADFINGER Games seems less experienced in handling the atmosphere of environmental scenes. Although different level environments are quite detailed, there are many similarities among them. There are many cover points in the game scenes, which often limits combat in general scenarios to a style of shooting from behind cover.
Of course, players can also choose to engage in movement combat, but for small scenes, this is not a good choice, as you may find your character taking cover after just a few steps... Fortunately, cover is not invincible, as some enemies can still damage characters behind cover due to their shooting positions, and some covers can be destroyed. These factors force players to speed up their attack pace to avoid being killed by enemies. Additionally, some levels feature powerful enemies, and the bosses at the end of levels are very strong. Relying solely on cover tactics makes battles difficult. To achieve victory in such battles, players need to perform at their best to defeat enemies. Fortunately, the combat atmosphere in the game is quite engaging. Various bio-mechanical enemies and attack machines continuously attack the player. The weapons used are also varied, with some enemies attacking in flight, and even landmines appearing in the player's path. All of this makes the combat process full of tension. In addition, the game includes small door-unlocking mini-games for some variety. As for the game's soundtrack, it effectively enhances the game's atmosphere, and the various attack sound effects are well-executed, greatly improving the combat experience.
However, the weapons available in the game are somewhat limited. Non-machine-gun weapons have very few bullets, so most of the time you will find yourself fighting mainly with a machine gun.In terms of the overall experience of the game "SHADOWGUN," it is still quite satisfying. The high-quality graphics and lighting effects, the intense battle pace, and the challenging boss fights allow players to experience exciting combat. However, the slightly monotonous combat mode and the relatively limited weapon choices somewhat detract from the game's enjoyment.
The update in version 1.0.3 has already fixed the previous crashing bug on Qualcomm CPUs, which means Shadowgun now officially supports most Android devices.
Compared to independent games, it has more freedom of movement than Hitman 2 or Frontline Commando: Normandy, no longer a boring stationary game (though the combat still involves the usual camping spots).
Regarding the cracked version 1.7.0, I don't know what happened, but on the poster's phone, when it came to entering a password, the keyboard was invisible and it just froze. Later, after downloading the official version, the poster realized it wasn't suitable after all; the items in the store made this poor guy feel a pang of heartache. So, the poster downloaded an older cracked version, and unexpectedly, the old version insisted on being installed in the phone's internal memory. Despite trying everything, it couldn't be moved, so the poster completely gave up on this game (a tragic personal experience T^T).
