Let x be the number of sheets of tin used for the box body and y be the number of sheets of tin used for the box bottom. x + y = 36. 2 * (25x) = 40y. We get x = 16, y = 20. In the second equation, 25x is the total number for the box bodies, and 40y is the total number for the box bottoms. Twice the number of box bodies corresponds to the number of box bottoms.
