Soul of Light is an ARPG developed by the Japanese company SEGA on multiple platforms. The story revolves around the ancient era war between the army of light and the forces of darkness. The game supports online cooperative combat, with certain levels requiring multiple players to complete. Additionally, the rich and colorful equipment crafting system and items with random attribute bonuses are another major attraction for players.
As with previous versions, the hallmark of Soul of Light is that before the game begins, an unrelated fairy girl recounts past history, thus setting the stage for the entire game. Long ago, the Black Dragon, acting as a god of destruction, scorched the land with the Flame of Death. Four warriors chosen as elite members of the army of light courageously fought back against the Black Dragon's forces. These four warriors are a warrior, a magician, an archer, and a dragon knight, each with different strengths and weaknesses, skills, and weapons. They can also fight together in a dungeon through four-player online co-op.
The game includes a large number of items, allowing players to fully enjoy the fun of exchanging and collecting items with each other.
