\Movie Plot
Wan Tin-Chau (played by Stephen Chow) has always been passionate about acting and wants to become an actor. Besides working as an extra, he also runs an actor training class in the neighborhood community center. At this time, Miss Liu Piaopiao, guided by her madam, comes to learn acting. Liu Piaopiao has had a very unpleasant past experience, and during Wan Tin-Chau's guidance, she gradually develops feelings for him, while also becoming a popular hostess at the nightclub. After enduring much disdain, Wan Tin-Chau finally gains the recognition of superstar Sister Juan (played by Karen Mok), who decides to have him play the male lead in her new film, but unexpectedly, his role is suddenly replaced, leaving him deeply disappointed. Recommendation
"The King of Comedy" may not be Stephen Chow's most classic film, but I think the scene where Stephen Chow shouts to Cecilia Cheung in the departing taxi, 'I'll take care of you!' with her innocent, tearful face, is still deeply memorable for many people. This four-character line is also regarded by countless film fans as one of the most classic movie lines. Revisiting this film often makes one realize that sometimes, touching the audience doesn't require much skill, because what the director produces is simply himself.Now, seeing the hardships on Stephen Chow's face, it reminds people of the bit-part actor Sing in "The King of Comedy".
