Recommended movie: 'Forty-seven Ronin'

Introduction: Based on true history of Japan, the story takes place during the Genroku era of Japan's Edo period, also known as the 'Genroku Akō Incident.' Asano, the lord of Akō Castle, injured Kira in Edo Castle and was ordered by Shogun Tsunayoshi to commit seppuku immediately. Led by Ōishi Kuranosuke, forty-seven samurai endured hardship for a year and nine months before breaking into Kira's residence, killing eighteen people, presenting the heads at Asano's grave, and then collectively committing seppuku. A group of exiled samurai aim to restore their reputation and seek revenge on the evil Lord Kira (Asano Takuminobu), the murderer of their master. Kai (Keanu Reeves) is the unstable member of their team, whose loyalties waver further after falling in love with Mika. This journey of the ronin is filled with trials of courage and loyalty.
