What should I do if the computer won't turn on?
Because I haven't been using the computer these past few days, the original poster turned off the power switch of the socket... Then... a few days later, I pressed the power button on the main unit, but nothing happened, and the indicator light didn't turn on, though the monitor and speakers are fine... What's going on, what should I do? I don't want to go for repairs, because if all the things stored on the computer are gone, that would be really unfortunate.

The computer probably got a power surge (the reason is that it was unplugged without shutting down).
The switch on the socket was turned off... and then... a few days later I pressed the switch on the main unit.
As long as the host is fine, it just means the monitor's connection cable is loose; pressing it firmly will solve the problem.
